Spent 4 nights here. This boutique hotel is very conveniently located for public transport, It is within short walking distance of the tramline, funicular and ferries. The well thought out buffet breakfast provided a good start to our day. Room was well appointed and clean. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

We stayed in Karakoy Rooms for four nights in the off season. The hotel staff was extremely helpful. They found us an awesome guide to show us the Old City. The breakfast included with the rates is at the restaurant located on the bottom floor and is the best we had in Turkey. Our room was spacious and comfortable and...

Seriously this is a such a beautiful property, and with only 14 rooms, it is certainly very boutique. We stayed in a studio, which I couldn't recommend highly enough, with 50sqm of area, it's more like an apartment than a hotel room. The only drawback was the bathroom was a little pokey. Ten points to housekeeping, they were thoroughly exceptional...

We recently spent five nights in one of the standard rooms. First off, the room was huge. Secondly, the room was well designed with hardwood floors, a super firm, comfortable bed, and cool touches, such as copper light fixtures. My first impression when I walked into the room was that I wished that I could move in permanently! The room...

We stayed on the 6th floor which is the top floor of rooms in a deluxe sea view room , it was like a mini suite with 2 distinct spacious areas for living and bed in an open plan layout. We had a private airport pickup included and excellent breakfast each day in the restaurant at street level that appeared...

Situated in a great area close to Galata Tower and bridge, within easy walking distance of many restaurants and bars. Close to public transport. We were made to feel welcome on arrival and taken to our lovely room which was very large and had a loft apartment feel about it. This is not a hotel but the friendly staff will...

Stayed there for 3 nights on the 6/F with a sea view balcony. It's roomy & comfortable. Very nice hospitality by the owner. Breakfast is good, especially the scrambled eggs - must try. The restaurant downstairs, run by the same owner, is also very good, but remember to make reservation. No chance for walk-in. Highly recommended hotel.

This boutique hotel with only 12 rooms is perfectly situated in Karakoy within walking distance to landmarks, museums and easy to use public transport such as tram, bus and boat system. Beautifully decorated spacious rooms are immaculately clean and kept that way throughout your stay. If you choose to stay in a studio you will also have a kitchenette. The...

Staying in Karakoy

Neighbourhood Profile
Karakoy
Sitting pretty with an age-old air about it, Karakoy is situated on the European side of the Bosphorus at the mouth of the Golden Horn. Perhaps the city’s most historically significant area, it’s currently one of the most happening parts of town as well. Here street vendors and alfresco fish restaurants line the banks of the Horn where the views of major attractions across the water rival Karakoy’s own key attractions, such as the iconic 14th century Galata Tower and the Museum of Modern Art. A major hub for local and international waterborne traffic, Istanbul’s commercial and maritime heritage remains as relevant and evident as ever in Karakoy. Commuter ferries mingle with luxury cruise liners at its busy port, ensuring a continuously cosmopolitan flow of people..
