We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. I travelled with my parents this past Christmas and we stayed in the family room, which was large enough for four. I also stayed in a single room for a night. The family room had a Queen sized bed, and two singles in a separate room. The bathrooms are clean, and the beds...

We stayed at Atik Palas this past September for 6 nights, and it really maximized our relaxation and made us feel pampered during our trip (we traveled to Istanbul to have a civil marriage and mini honeymoon combined). From the start, the staff were extremely professional, helpful, kind, and went out of their way on more than one occasion to...

I stayed here with a colleague of mine and we were extremely impressed. Although the rooms were small, they were very clean and cozy and the beds were exceptionally comfortable! The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. The location is great, near to Taksim square and Osmenbay metro stop. Also, they offer a delicious breakfast.

I'm giving this hotel a '4' based primarily upon my travelling companions' experience, not mine, particularly since I neither booked the room nor paid for it. I stayed at this hotel for five days at the beginning of May. All the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. I was travelling with friends, and their room, at the front of the...

Stayed for 3-4 nights with my wife. It's really close Osmanbey Metro station, that you use to go to Taksim or any other center and really close to the Attaturk museum. The staff was helpful, the breakfast was amazing (the terrace, the sun shinning thru and the view), and the rooms are well kept. There's free wifi also. There were...

Staying in Sisli

Neighbourhood Profile
Sisli
For much of Istanbul’s history, Sisli and the area just north of Taksim Square were open countryside used mostly as hunting grounds. These days, Sisli and its chic streets are considered the very heart of contemporary Istanbuli life, where an epicenter of fashion and a thriving business district meet to create an expressly “downtown” feel. Though largely a residential neighborhood, luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and upscale shops abound with many of them situated inside or nearby Cevahir Istanbul, the biggest shopping mall in Europe and second biggest urban shopping mall in the world. Shopaholics and fashionistas travel from near and far to browse the area's mix of major global brand items and creations by popular Turkish designers.

“Do not, under any circumstances, stay in room 501. It is directly under the kitchen, directly next to the cleaning supply room, and has only one window which faces onto an extremely noisy alley. The -01 rooms, and possibly the -02 rooms, on other floors probably have the alley problem as well. Since the first call to prayer is played before sunrise, that would be less of a problem during the winter. But the alley noise was bad during the night anyway due to loud parties and at least one cat in heat.”
