If you want to stay in an excellent location close to all the major sights and public transport links, with an incredible view and extremely friendly and helpful staff then this is the place. The hotel is in an historic area with real local character, the immediate vicinity may be run down but is friendly and authentic. The hotel is...

I can high recommend the hotel and the staff. It is situated next to the sightseeing points like Grand Bazar, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Galata Bridge and Golden Horn. The rooms are clean and there is a abudant supply for breakfast.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at the HHK. The staff was able to arrange transportation to and from the airport for us. I did not think much of the old neighborhood as we pulled up to the hotel because of reading other TripAdvisor reviews. I knew that while the neighborhood didn't look great, it was safe and the hotel...

I've been to Istanbul about 30 or 40 times - and then this surprise. A tradition hotel with all-modern facilities in a surrounding where Istanbul is still unspoilt: the way it used to be decades ago. Charming staff, a healthy breakfast with all varieties, centrally located, and affordable. As a bonus: the splendid view! Good to know that I have...

The hotel is situated in a pretty run-down residential area, a 10-minutes walk from Galata Bridge, 5-minutes walk from the Spice Market. It was renovated two years ago. We stayed at the Presidential Suite, which spreads over two floors - the shower (sort of a private Hamam) on the ground floor, bedroom, living room, toilet and a terrace on the...

We took a cab from the airport to the hotel. The hotel was located in the middle of slum. So we were quite worried at first but after entering through the gate of the hotel, our impression had changed. The hotel was very clean, lovely, and neat with beautiful view of Istanbul. The lady at the front desk served us...

My girlfriend and I both agree that HHK hotel became our best memory in Istanbul. We check in after midnight, there are two elegant staff waiting for us and processed our checkin very fast. Astonishing view of the city is waiting outside of our window. Breakfast is also very good. You can enjoy food, turkish tea and beautiful scenery at...

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighbourhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighbourhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
