I was trying to look for this hotel, basically the location is very near with Blue Mosque, just around 200 meter down. The staff are very friendly, he took my luggage and bring it down to the apartment in a windy evening when the other hotel staff called him to pick me up. The apartment rooms was clean and comfortable,...

We are just home from our first visit to Istanbul where we found this great restaurant beside our hotel. Food was great and the staff we very helpful, explaining the dishes on the menus. The fish platter was great.! There's live music each night by a very talented pleasant guy on a guitar .

We stayed in this hotel in january 2013 on our way back to Norway after visiting my brother in Tanzania. Of course, Istanbul was cold after spending some weeks in Africa, but it was a fine climate adjustment before heading home. The hotel offered us a apartment on the second floor (we booked in the basement). The guests who lived...

The apartment we rented has 3 rooms, quiet small, but comfortable after all, except for one of the rooms which had a heater plan inside, which is quite nosy at night. I would strongly recommend it when you need a place to crash while visiting the city. Very good location, quite close to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. Ask...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
