The service upon checkin was superb thanks to the nice young redheaded woman at reception (whose name escapes me) July 25th, 6:30pm. And upon checking out early July 27th, Mr. Yasar Bolat at reception, and bellboy Mr. Guray made sure my early departure to the...More
The Best Western Obelisk is well situated for touring all the historic and cultural sights of Istanbul's Old Town. Rooms are attractive and the roof garden (where breakfast is served) has a fabulous view. Staff is friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again!
I stayed at this hotel for 7 nights and found it an average hotel in a relatively quiet corner of the touristy Sultanahmet. On the plus side, the rooftop terrace restaurant with a great view of the Bosphorus serves fine food. The front desk staff,...More
we selected this hotel based on reviews on trip advisor. Whilst it's not top class it is very comfortable. Rooms were clean and had everything you needed. Reception staff very helpful too. The location is excellent and it's within walking distance of lots of restaurants...More
Friendly helpful staff. Plenty of nice restaurants nearby.Excellent location within easy walking distance of 'Blue Mosque', Hagia Sofia, Topkapi Palace and Grand bazar. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to
retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.

sorry just seeing this. There is park area around Hagia Sophia/Blue Mosque. There are small stores near the hotel where you can buy some snacks, fruit, drinks, but no supermarkets.
This is in old Sultanahmet area.
