We stayed at the Sarniç Hotel while visiting Istanbul for three nights on the final leg of our European adventure. The location is perfect, there were great views from the rooftop terrace, and the staff were all very pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed the Turkish breakfast, and the free shuttle from the airport was so helpful after a long flight....

We were met at the airport, the hotel driver had a placard with the name. The hotel is well located and clean and the service is excellent. Breakfast was exceptional with a buffet of Turkish salads, breads and homemade preserves, even including cereals, a good coffee machine and a choice of juices. It's easy to walk to the Blue Mosque...

The hotel is located very close to Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, as well as to the Tram, which takes you to the harbor ( also walking distance) and the other side of the river. The staff is super friendly and the rooms were clean. There was complimentary breakfast every morning, which had a good variety. The coffee is...

Stayed in Istanbul for the weekend. Sarnic Hotel was an excellent choice for a good price and great service. Walking distance from the Blue mosque, Hagia Sophia Museum and the SultanAhmet tram. This was a budget weekend from Brussels. We wanted to explore old Istanbul, and enjoy the old city. The Ottoman-era hotel was a great choice, with great value. We had a hiccup in our initial room assignment, but the staff corrected, with charm. The location is superb -- walking distance to almost everything in old Istanbul, with good restaurant/shopping options...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
