The Nena hotel is so close to a all the atractions and the tram and restaurants and shoppingstreet, it made our trip to Istanbul so easy. The rooms are good, everything you need. Nothing special and small, but good and a good matras to sleep. View from breakfast is lovely! We had free transport from the airport one way and...

We stayed at the Nena Hotel for two nights in April. The location is excellent with all the attractions in the Sultanahmet area within very easy walking distance. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. The terrace restaurant has fantastic views and breakfasts are very good. Our standard room was very comfortable but the bathroom was a bit on...

Staying at Hotel Nena was probably the best choice I made in my short trip to Istanbul. I wanted make sure I saw all the important sights with as little travel time as possible and I could not have picked a better hotel to allow this. The location is superb, minutes from all the main sights; blue mosque, topkapi palace,...

If you want to stay in Sultanahmet then stay here. We would nip 'home' from the major tourist attractions to the hotel to use the toilet/grab a jumper/sunglasses without a thought. Also very close to a tram stop to get you to the rest of the city. Despite its fantastic location the hotel is not relying on this alone. The...

The location is super! Very central and easy access to all the sights. The staff (especially Serkan) were very helpful and accomodating! The taxi company I organised (& paid!) to fetch me for the airport didn't arrive and Serkan phoned and arranged an alternate taxi for me and ensured the original taxi company paid for this trip; no worries for...

First we thought the view on the pictures at the Homepage must have been added by photoshop. But when we went upstairs for breakfast we saw it was true! You see both Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia from the restaurant. Breakfast was delicious and service was excellent both at the restaurant and at the reception. Our room and lavatory were...

Great staff. Staff was helpful and courteous. The breakfast was excellent. Although the room was not large it was adequate for our needs. The location is great. We will certainly book this hotel for a third time.

Just returned this week from a 7 night stay with my wife and 7 month old daughter. Have previously stayed at this hotel before so wont give all the same info in this review. Amazing service provided by all staff, especially the breakfast team. Rooms were always cleaned daily and felt like our first day each day, as the room...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
