Absolutely fantastic hotel, highly recommended! Both location and atmosphere were great. The stuff was very friendly and helpful. A must stay hotel while in Istanbul. All the major locations are nearby, local food and sightseeing are remarkable. Hope to get back soon. Leonid and Anastasia, Moscow.

Great hotel, centrally located near the Blue Mosque. Quiet neighborhood close to attractions, restaurants and shops. Great rooms, ours had a nice balcony. Friendly and very helpful staff. Delicious breakfast included, as well as tea and coffee at any time (and can be delivered to your room). Well appointed rooms and budget-friendly prices. And let's not forget that million dollar... We stayed here for a week in November and we couldn´t recommend the Ibrahim Pasha more highly. All advertised amenities and services are there, it is very well kept and tastefully decorated and the location is perfect (Hagia Sophia/Sultanahmet Mosque/Topkapi Palace/Yerebatan/shops/restaurants/public transport all within walking distance). The staff are all and withouth exception very friendly and polite, helpful, informative, multilingual... More

The staff was fantastic and super friendly and helpful. The rooms were cozy and the rooftop view was fantastic. The best part is that this hotel is right behind the Sultanahmet square. Everything in that area is walking distance.

I appreciated that I could have extra complimentary bottles of water and tea brought to my room. I was able to choose complimentary movies to watch on my TV. I liked the views from theTerrace on the fifth floor where I could have drinks and nibbles.

I just stayed for one night, but if I had the time, I would have stayed longer. You can't beat the location and the rooftop terrace had a great view of the Blue Mosque. The service was great. They personally delivered complimentary coffee to both your room and the roof. Can't say enough positive things about this hotel.

Really few steps away from the Istanbul Hippodrome with the Blue Mosque & Aya Sofia! The terass view to the Mosque & Bosporus is terrific! Although most rooms are tiny , they are comfortable enough, and the hotel by all means has its stile and atmosphere. Our room was at the 1st floor with the windows facing the narrow street... More

I found the hotel from a CNN hotels in Istanbul article for New Year's Eve. Was expecting a very fancy five-star hotel. We got a very small quaint neighborhood hotel that three cabdrivers could not find. We were greeted with hot tea and a fireplace which was a wonderful respite due to the 3 foot of snow outside . We... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
