The staff: generous and resourceful locals. Wanna party; they'll sure fill you belly with beer. Wanna keep chill with shiha and tea...just make it clear ;). The upstairs...

Affordable for students. Everything is very clean and staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Stayed in the 30 bed dorm with no complaints. Would stay here again. Ayasofya and all main attractions are literally the next street over.

Friendly staff that are very helpful. We stayed in the dorm and it was affordable. Breakfast is good, I wish they would provide some fruit though. You get a 10% off if you order supper from their restaurant but their portions are very small. I found a better meal across the road with a way more food at the same...

Love for tourism and hospitality. That's what this hostel is all about! Being the first hostel to open in Instanbul, the guys here provide exceptional service from over 20 years of experience. Reception is 24 hours and so when I arrived at 3am from the airport I was enthusiastically greeted by the Orient Family straight away. They are always so...

Wow! I was so impressed with this place! An incredible value in "old city," just a 2 minute walk to the Blue Mosque/Hagia Sophia and 10 minutes to the Grand Bazaar. Room 202 was clean & comfortable with a really nice full size bath. The hostel has a private wing for private rooms which are quiet, comfortable and secure. This...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
