Central location, clean room, nice staff, Bosphore view. Restaurant with view over Bosphore. - a pritty small room for 3 persons, the bed size is too small for a single person ( it is a bit stressful to sleep thinking not to fall out of the bed). The walls are very thin and you could hear every noise from the...

Last couple of years I have become almost a regular customer of Cihangir Hotel, even though sometimes the staff doesn't seem to concentrate on their jobs or despite you are in a breakfast heaven the breakfast they provide is way too below of average...However these are not the disappointments I experienced during my last visit in May 2016 to Istanbul....

We selected this hotel because it was in our daughter's neighborhood. We found it to be comfortable, quiet, and clean. We also enjoyed a great view of the Bosporus. The evening manager was very helpful and made our stay even more pleasant. There were a number of nice restaurants and Taksim Square was within walking distance.

Very comfortable, modern hotel in an excellent location close to Istiklal, Besiktas etc. The Cihangir area is also very attractive with many antique shops, coffee houses and artisan areas - almost bohemian atmosphere. Staff were competent and helpful. The rooms at the rear offer good views over the Bosphorus. The room cost is very fair for the standard offered. Can...

Stayed with friends for a few nights for Fenerbahce v Celtic game. Rooms were beautiful overlooking the Bosphorus. Staff were nice. Taxi driver from airport found it difficult to locate the hotel but once we eventually got there the location was perfect. 2 mins from taksim and walking distance to Besiktas and Kadikoy. 13TL in taxi to Sultanhamet area. Great...

The hotel is near the Taksim square. Very clean and very quiet. There was free internet provided. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of choice and the food was fresh and delicious. The restaurant on the top was a little overpriced, there wasn't a great choice but the view of Bosphorus from there is...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
