Lovely, quaint Hotel in a superb location! Just a few steps away from the famous shopping street Istiklal. Great area for shopping, dining and experiencing the unique vibe and culture of local life. The rooms of the hotel were much smaller than expected and although they have a mini-bar, there's no kettle which was a bit of a disappointment. Would...

Have just returned from a 1 night stay at this hotel, and wished it was longer! The staff were excellent - we arrived at 11am, and they got our room ready for us to check in, they helped us to the metro when leaving with our bags (down A LOT of outside steps), the breakfast was great, with amazing views....

Room 401, where we stayed, was very nice. It could have done with additional space for clothes, but there was enough storage for a five-day stay. The location is excellent to enjoy the atmospheric and vibrant streets of the Beyoğlu area and is within easy walking distance of the old town. Beautiful views from the terrace where breakfast, which was...

We were fooled by the pictures. The hotel is badly maintained and the staff is unprofessional. The service is non existing, except for the bell boy who helped us carry our luggage down the stairs leading to the hotel. The room are very small. It also smelled like vomit in the hallway for the duration of our 3 days stay....

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
