The Latin Hotel was a wonderful find. It was a quick walk to the major sights in Istanbul including the Blue Mosque, Palace, and Hagia Sofia. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and very knowledgable about places in and around the city. It is fairly easy to find and has a great breakfast spread. The hotel rooms were clean and...

Stayed at Lalinn Hotel on 22nd of July for 2 nights in the family room. A little bit hard to find but we did get there eventually. Really enjoyed the place. Room is very spacious, fully air conditioned. Very clean and well maintained. Breakfast is not so bad. The manager, Okan was very helpful. He recommended few places to eat...

4 of us stayed 4 nights in one room and found the room and hotel in general perfect for what we paid. It is a conveniently close walk to all the major attractions so saved on public transport. Staff are extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. Good varied breakfast buffet as well.

The hotel is hard to find (our shuttle driver drove past it twice before finding it) but only a 10 minute walk from the major attractions like the Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace. From the street, it looks like a house rather than a hotel. The hotel is small - I bet that there are no more than 20 rooms,...

I have stayed in the Hilton, Sheraton and even the Taj Mahal Hotel in Delhi and none compare to the Lalinn Hotel in Istanbul. The staff is fantastic, especially Okan, who went out of his way to ensure we had a wonderful stay. His recommendations were spot on for dinning, shopping and bargaining. All the staff is excellent, but Okan...

I spent 3 nights in this amazing hotel. Walking distance to Sultanahment area. The hotel is well decorated with European and Turkish element style. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is very clean. The bedding is great. The wifi wasn't working well during my stay. I would highly recommend!

Arrived at 2 am and the proprietor showed up on phone call from taxi to check me in and very helpful in finding some of the lesser known highlights of the city. Breakfast was always good and fresh. Small hotel so guest feels a little more important.

We had a great four-night stay at this cosy hotel tucked into a lane in Sultanahmet area, a short-walk away from all the attractions. Staff were very courteous and helpful, especialy Okhan who gave us good suggestions on what to see and where to eat. The room itself was very spacious, clean bathroom and good air-conditioning. The hotel has a...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
