Hello travel lovers, This is Siavash, I spent couple of nights in this hostel. You want cheapest place to sleep at night in the most expensive area of Istanbul?! This is your best option. A hostel apartment located in the main square of Istanbul, Taksim Square, managed by a very very outgoing person who took me every night out to...

Budak will be your best choice if you are looking for a good location, you will have an access to all transport types. Also staying in that area is better than in Old Sity - not so many ppl selling staff. Cafes, pubs and clubs are close in waiking distance or 15 min by taxi. Price for our stay was...

I showed up around 11 at night, to discover that the address was just an apartment building, with no reception or way of buzzing the hotel, just a doorbell that no one answered. After 10-15 minutes, someone who lived in the building left, and I had to ask him to call the hotel for me, at which point someone eventually...

I will start with the good things about Budak Residence: it's position and it's price. The position is great right next to taxim square and istiklal road and also next to metro. The price was good enough for a hotel such cental as Budak (45 euros /night). Also the internet wifi was acceptable. However the bad things were much more:...

We booked beforehand so the price was quite reasonable. Location of the hotel is really amazing. It is about 70 meters (5 min) walk from crowded Istiklal prospect and Texim square and all metro and bus stations.Easy to get around easy to get from the airport by HAVATAS bus. Just 5-7 minutes walk from bus stop at TAXIM. There is...

Situated at an ideal location - close enough to taxim square and far enough to be safe and quiet, this is an ideal accommodation for the explorer kind of tourist. The staff was very friendly, the Armenian owner made sure we had everything we needed (cheers!), the rooms were clean, cosy, there was a fridge, cooking stove, kettle with tea...

This apartment is located pretty close from Taksim Square, although from outside it looks small and a bit dingy, the room itself actually quite homey, equipped with decent bathroom. One of the advantage staying in this place, they are not particularly strict regarding the policy of bringing visitor into the room, since in some other apartment that my friend stay,...

The Budak Residence is well situated on the edge of Taksim Square about 250 metres from the bus stop for the bus from the airport and easy to find. We had to phone the owner to get in so you need a mobile to book in for the first time. The apartment we had booked was not available so they...

Hotel is clean, comfortable, very close to Taksim square where everything happens at night. Walking distance to bus stop, metro and Havatas bus stop (transport from airport). In a quiet street, but close enough to the nightlife. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are clean, with everything you need. It is a budget option, but cant complain about anything. There...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
