This small hotel is situated just behind the Blue Mosque. The location is therefore very convenient, close to all the main attractions and the Metro. We were served apple tea at any time we asked, for free. The room we had was however extremely small and situated in the attic with limited ventilation. It seemed like they have not finished...

My credit card was overcharged and they do not return the money. Every time we contact them, they make another excuse on why they don´t pay. Be careful when paying if you use this hotel. Can not recommend to anyone.

When we arrived, the staff serve us apple tea. Our initial plan is to just drop our luggage and go to Pamukkale and return on next two days, but due to weather condition we decided just to stay in Istanbul, so the staff mention there were room available so we just stay here for 6 days. In our room there...

First of all, we did not book to go here, we were conned into staying there. We were picked up from the hotel and dropped to this place. We were told that the place we booked got overbooked and he is doing us a favour. Reluctantly we accepted because of the location, just a five minute walk to the Hagia,...

Hotel is in an ideal location, near the Blue Mosque and Sultanahmet district. The stuff was so kind to provide us with tea and everything we were asking for. The room was not as good as we expected, because it seemed to be under works. The bed was comfy, the window too small and the bathroom was not great..the shower was...

I had my 2 days at this hotel. It's a bit hard to find the right location but it doesn't matter because their manager helped us :) we found that the hotel is not too big but it's the best budget hotel in the city centre. Just walk for 2-3 mins and we'll find the Blue Mosque. I'd highly recommend...

Recommended to all the people looking for a reasonable place next to all big attractions at Istanbul. Honestly you get more here than you pay for. Its a lovely compact hotel with an amazing staff who offer you nice breakfast everyday along with room service. Can't forget about the yummiest Apple Tea they offer. And for that i will come...

We were looking for a central accommodation option that would allow us to walk to the main sites and to avoid Istanbul's traffic. Family Istanbul provided just that. It's a basic hostel with superb service, better than in some of the luxury resorts I have stayed in before. We got a spacious room with 2 double beds and a window...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
