Overall a fine place to stay but we were staying on our honeymoon while there for 5 nights. I was hoping for something more special. Pros: good location, nicely designed and plenty of space in the suites. Cons: Service was very haphazard, some colleagues were lovely and some were just not interested to be there. Breakfast was a joke. Do...

I would recommend Istanbullux to everyone. We had an incredible experience. The hotel, the people, and the ambiance were all marvelous. It is nestled in an incredible area near Galata tower with a nice walk to İstiklal avenue. Great location. Great people.

We stayed twice during our recent trip to Turkey (4 days each time during the first and third week of October 2013). We truly loved the place. Great architecture, excellent location, spacious rooms and a very helpful young staff. The place is very comfortable and it feels like a little oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle of...

First the pros: The space of the room. You basically get a spacious 1 bdrm apartment. The design of the "apartment". Wow. It's like nyc loft like with touches of eastern Asia (we are in Istanbul afterall). In fact, the whole architect of the building was very cool. The bed was so comfortable (but it's 2 bed put into 1...

Absolutely loved this property located in the heart of Beyoğlu, just walking distance from the Galata Tower with access to so many boutique restaurants/bars. Also a short walk to the tram/bridge that brings you directly to the more touristy old city district of Sultanahmet. Felt like your own luxury apartment with amazing amenities and furniture. The beds are super comfortable...

We had a lovely 5 day stay at this property. It is a small boutique hotel but with spacious rooms, great character and most importantly, a warm, young and ever smiling team always available to make your stay memorable (Ms. Tugce Begde was especially wonderful) Felt like we were in our own luxury home in middle of Istanbul. Rooms are...

I had high expectations according to the already excellent reviews - but reality was even better. We couldn't have wished for more - very good location, amazing suites, very good staff (taking care of reservations, giving tips where to go etc.) - a GREAT EXPERIENCE! Definitively coming back to Istanbul - and there is only one place for us to...

If you - like me - desire to feel like a local the instant you arrive in a new city, then the Istanbullux Suites will fulfill your each and every desire, and then some. Secreted away in a narrow cobbled artery of the Galata district the Istanbullux appears like a Taj Mahal amongst the ancient dwellings of this, the city's,...

The hotel is tucked away in a side street of the trendy Galata area and located in the most beautiful contemporary building in Istanbul. Both outside and inside are absolutely amazing: an elegant and robust mix of glass, steel, wood and concrete. Not only is the architect nominated for the prestigious Mies van der Rohe award, the room is wonderfully...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
