First I booked the standard room but it is really very small. So I upgraded to a suite and had a wonderful stay. The small terrace has a wonderful view and the roof top is outstanding. Breakfast will be delivered to the room which has a small kitchen.

These are B&B apartments. Spotlessly clean and very well-managed by the ever-helpful Ali and his colleagues. The price is very good and the location is great if you want to stay in Cihangir (which is a very pleasant neighbourhood thats not too far from Taksim).

My husband and I just left the urban suites and we honestly cannot wait to go back. The location is fantastic a short walk to Istiklal av and Taksim. It is a quiet area which is fantastic but very close to cafes and funky bars, only 2 blocks away.. The view was unbelievable of the Bosporus andie enjoyed our afternoons...

Our family (9 persons ) stay there 3 days, was really nice apartmans, very clean and with every utility we need. Good location, not so far from the tram station to sultanahmet. The personal was very helpful and gentle with us. The apartmans have a fast internet connection and a lot of tv channels. We was really happy there, thank...

We spent a few days on a third-floor apartment. The lift opens into the unit, but you could keep it latched to keep unwanted visitors, though theoretically no one could enter without the access card. The living room was bright, nice windows, and as advertised, just a sliver of a view of the water. The kitchenette was good, functional. The...

This is a small charming hotel in the Cihangir district of Istanbul. It was very close to Taksim and a short and picturesque walk to the tram. It is centrally located, however the neighborhood is quiet and charismatic - close to cute cafes and a vibrant ex-pat community. Directly adjacent to the hotel is an amazing coffee shop with delicious...

This was much more like an apartment rental than a hotel and we were fine with that. We felt like we were part of the neighborhood. There were several convenient places for coffee (right next door and several around the corner), a number of fabulous restaurants nearby and a tiny grocery across the street with several large ones within a...

Urban Suites was a small boutique hotel of seven rooms located in the bohemian Cihangir district from where you could reach Taksim Square in 5 minutes and the old town in 20 minutes by walk. The hotel entrance was small. The reception area was in the basement floor and it was very small too. I had to wait 10 minutes...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
