We had a great experience at the Premist Hotel last week! The staff was so welcoming and spoke great English. They even shared recommendations for restaurants and called ahead for a meal and taxi for us. Our room was beautiful and had everything we needed, added bonus of having WiFi. The breakfast was fresh and delicious, and served outside in...

The hotel is in a gray location. It's only minutes of walk from all tourist building and the grand bazaar. The breakfast was good. The room was clean with exotic feeling. The service was impressive! The best I have got after visiting dozens of countries.

Well to tell the truth, we were a bit scared to visit Istanbul after the chaotic situation following the military coup. I had called the hotel in advance of our arrival and they said that everything was back to normal now and we needn't be afraid. So we landed in Istanbul, got picked up at the airport by a friendly...

This butique hotel close to all touristic places. Hotel is nice, personnel is warm and have will to solve your problems. Breakfast is enough. So, everything is quite enough for this hotel. Only negative thing is floor is made by wood and it makes noise.

The Location of this hotel is fantastic - it is across the street from Topkopki Palace and walking distance to everything in Sultanahmet. The staff were particularly friendly - the night manager provided great conversation and tips on where to go out in the city beyond Sultanahmet. Our room was perhaps the smallest room I've ever stayed in, but it...

The entrance to the Premist is quite subtle, but once you find it, a quiet, appealing little world opens up. The staff is very friendly, making one feel at home right away. The lobby is something out of the 19th century (see picture) and makes you feel part of the history that surrounds this part of Istanbul. Our room was...

The Premist Hotel is located perfectly for anyone wanting to see virtually all the sights in Istanbul without using transport. Our room was absolutely spotless with a sitting area and a very comfy double bed. We were welcomed by Ferdi with a drink of our choice which was a nice touch as he explained how to get around to all...

We stayed at the Premist off and on for the month we spent in Turkey. The rooms were clean, the staff was wonderfully friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect! The breakfast was a lovely start to the day. This will be our "go to" hotel in Istanbul on future trips. Really a very nice place.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
