I stayed at the Hotel Asur for a week this spring and was very happy with this hotel. The service was excellent, the rooms were clean and spacious, and the location was wonderful. Easy walking distance to all the monuments, and if one is really lazy, the tram is a couple of blocks away. Breakfast was continental-turkish, with hot and...

My friend and I stayed at the Asur Hotel from 27th to 31st May this year as we were in Istanbul for the F1 Grand Prix. We hired a car from the airport but found there was no parking at the Hotel as it is in a pedestrianised area but the Hotel staff pointed out a secure car park nearby...

The Asur Hotel was perfectly placed in Istanbul for all the amenities. The buffet breakfast was good with a large selection, We only had a three night stay here but the staff at the Hotel could not do enough to help.

We supposed to stay a week in this hotel, because of the smoke in the air we couldn't fly so we had to stay longer, after 2 days in an other very bad hotel in between we went back to Asur again. The rooms were clean and tidy and the beds heavenly. The food was awesome. The location is superb....

I booked the hotel for the weekend, and unfortunately our stay began with an unfortunate incidence, we were shown our rooms, we put our staff, we were so exausted and immediately decided to take a nap, then suddenly our phone rang told us they already took the money from our credit card so asked me get downstairs to return the...

The hotel has a great location if you're there for sightseeing. The staff is very friendly and helpfull, and the rooms are clean and have good beds. Don't be put of when you see their website: the rooms don't look like that anymore. Breakfast is ok, and overall I would highly recommend this place if you're looking for a good...

I stayed 4 nights in april 2010 and I think it's the best offer you can get there. Position is perfect, rooms are clean and the wi-fi works more than I've expected. The front-desk personnel is more than polite and helpful. The breakfast was ok- pretty much the same but you can't get better in Istanbul from my experience

Comfortable rooms and bath-room facilities. Clean. They were about to finish a major renovation of the place during our stay, so all rooms should be of excellent quality now. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Decent breakfast, apart from the coffee which is terrible. The location is wonderfully close to the major tourist sites: Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia,...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
