Ada Hotel is really great, from accomodation itself and inner design and homemade breakfast to warm family owning it. Location is close to the center, 5-10 min walk. We stayed there for three days and it sure did complete our impression of beautiful Istanbul 😍

Great family run boutique hotel tucked away in a quite street just behind the Blue Mosque. We had a triple room booked for 4 nights which was in the main part of the hotel but the room was very small and pokey and one bed was in a seperate tiny room so it didn't suit us as we were 3...

This is a lovely, welcoming, family-run boutique hotel in the heart of the historic Sultanahmet district, minutes away from main sights. Quiet location. The management were always helpful and attentive. We stayed first in an apartment and later in a double room in the main building. Beds were very comfortable and rooms well appointed with beautiful views. A delicious extensive...

I am so late in writing this review but better late then ever. My daughter and I travelled throughout Turkey last summer and our final week was in the Ada Hotel. I think of it more of a B & B than a hotel because you are staying in a room that has an individual personality and you are treated...

The Ada Hotel is perfectly located in Sultanahmet. We had a self-catering room - which was actually more like an apartment (complete with washing machine and tumble dryer). The interior is modern but with a hint of the traditional. The showers are to die for! The owner and the staff are most pleasant once one has broken through the language...

Ada Hotel was great however the main office is up the street and we had to walk up the hill on a number of occasions to ask and confirm things with the office and for breakfast. This was not an issue however on a number of occasions we went to the office and no one answered the door even one...

The hotel is within a five to ten minute walk of all the sites in the old section of Istanbul. The Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Haga Sofia Basilica Cistern, the trolley, and many many restaurants are right there. Topaki palace is just a few minutes further. And it's not a long walk to the ferry if you prefer that to the...

As other reviews mentioned, Dr. Dogan is a great host and absolutely caring. Our flight got delayed and we reached the hotel at 1am and he still personally welcomed us with a smile. He arranged our tours for cheaper than prices offered by other vendors. The breakfast had lot of choices and is good. Hotel itself is very clean and...

My husband seemed to take forever trying to find the perfect hotel for our anniversary. And to his credit he found it!!! The Ada Hotel is actually two different buildings. Though we stayed in the more recently refurbished of the two they were both delightful. Our 600 sq. ft. room was on the second floor and had a spectacular view...

We loved the Ada Hotel and would definitely stay here again. The location is perfect, just a quick walk from the Blue Mosque and other major sites. The lovely airy rooms are decorated with antique furniture, which gave a very romantic feel (perfect for the start to our honeymoon!). The owner and other staff were all very friendly and welcoming....

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
