My sister had booked the Travel Talk tour which starts at the Ottoman however was arriving 2 days prior and would be by herself. The hotel offered a private transfer which we booked. I then decided I would join my sister for this trip and with speedy email response and no extra cost the hotel advised us there was no...

I stayed here a few days ago for 2 nights and it was just perfect. The hotel is literally across the street from Hagia Sofia and just a 2 min walk away from the blue mosque and the basilica cistern! I woke up to a wonderful view every morning. My room was not that big but it was very clean...

Stayed for a couple of nights in Istanbul at this hotel... This is a really good hotel as its situated near the blue mosque and directly opposite the Hagia Sophia! The breakfast buffet is substantial and the rooms are pleasant (although the teams are quite noisy at night).. I did feel the dinner menu was a little overpriced for what...

The hotel is decent and staff extremely helpful. Actually the location is a big plus. Everything around is just a stone throw away. The location is peaceful. The room we stayed in was clean and the furniture was really Ottoman style. I would recommend this hotel for a neat budget stay.

Booked the top floor suite (406) and we couldn't get over the view of the Hagia Sofia! Not sure how many other hotels could offer that. The hotel has some good style and a really great breakfast, but our room and the halls were a bit tired. Some great staff, including our very friendly housekeeper. I'd say very good value...

The hotel is located right next to (and I mean RIGHT next to) Hagia Sophia. The building was a former school and hospital built in the middle of 19th century so it has a certain charm and atmosphere. Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
