We stayed here on the beginning of our 3 week vacation, and we loved every minute of it. The location of this hotel is AMAZING you are right in the historic area of Istanbul and so close to many mosques and museums. The three days we spent in Istanbul was much to short, we wished we could have stayed longer....

To find such a good value option in the prized Sultanahmet area of Istanbul was a surprise and this small pension did not disappoint beyond price and location. The staff were just as you would hope (but not often find in a city hotel) - friendly and informative without being intrusive. The rooms are basic but very clean (serviced every...

We were a bit apprehensive at first as could not find any reviews on this hotel, however when we arrived we were very pleased with our room and the welcome from the staff there. Our room, no.10 had a small balcony which overlooked a quiet street and houses across the street with friendly neighbours who gave us a wave. The...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
