I am staying at the Romance Hotel for my week-long visit to Istanbul. The hotel, which may have been renovated recently or better still looks as if it was, is exceptional in many ways. It is centrally located within walking distance of almost anything the tourist may want to see on the European side. A tram station is almost at its doorstep, and a main terminal no more than a few minutes walk. My room is spacious, nicely decorated in old Ottoman motifs with a well sized bathroom, and is kept clean on a daily basis. It is very quiet and one can hardly hear indoor or outdoor noise. Breakfast is offered daily and has a good selection of foods, nothing exceptional but very adequate. In fact, one can order specially prepared foods and coffees at no extra charge. There is also an afternoon coffee and tea break with finger sandwiches and desserts. If you happen to be in your room in the afternoon, you may get a knock on the door asking if you wish to have coffee or tea. What you will quickly notice, however, is the friendliness, care, and welcoming spirit of the staff. From the time I sat to register, Ramazan, the manager I think, made me feel very welcomed and offered me the information I needed to enjoy my stay in the hotel and the city. Although the same spirit was exhibited by all members of the hotel staff, Zumre, the guest relations officer deserves special mention. She would sit at my breakfast table everyday for a few minutes to see if I needed anything. She is a joyful and cheerful person with a very good command of the English language. The Hotel is fortunate to have someone with her skills and qualities. I recommend this hotel without any reservations.

We stayed for six days at the Romance Istanbul Hotel in one of the terrace suites and oh man do I recommend this hotel!
You get the luxury and personal touch of a boutique hotel right in the center of all the city sights. Everything is within walking distance and if you need to take a taxi everything is within a $10 trip, I mean everything. As location goes 10/10.
In terms of value for money I’m also astonished. I think we got an incredible deal on the hotel rate and though booking from the website a little confusing after everything was said and done I paid about the cost of a 3-star in any major US city. However for that price we had a great breakfast every morning with incredible waiters; Dilek and Burak, impeccable cleaning service by Gonul, helpful and friendly reception service with Hakan, Ranazan, and Senob, access to an awesome rooftop restaurant with the sister hotel and their super fun staff (sorry I forgot names), you can schedule time at the pool, sauna, steam room, and hamam also staffed by two amazing people, not to mention great room service selection and staff, and not at all least incredible guest relations service by Zumre.
I recommend you consider not planning a few of your days here in Istanbul and let Zumre help you decide what to do. She was incredibly friendly and super knowledgeable.
Make sure you get the breakfast package the selection is diverse and delicious.
Spring for a massage, my wife and felt so relaxed while we took turns getting massaged and lying by the jacuzzi.
The room was incredibly beautiful and the showers were top-notch.
The standard here is above and beyond what I expected. Not only was everything already excellent but each and every staff member went was relentlessly accommodating. When we come back to Istanbul we will definitely be trying to stay here again.
COVID Notes: (As of April 2nd 2021) To keep things safe and sanitized everything came in sealed and sanitized packages, all employees were wearing masks and enforcing masks, breakfast utilized gloves masks, and regular sanitizing of utensils as far as I could tell, common areas like the pool and spa were by appointment only. We felt safe the entire time. The hotel can coordinate specialists to come to the hotel to administer PCR tests if necessary. I have no reservations recommending this hotel as safe and hygienic during this pandemic.

Our family visited Istanbul in March’ 21 and we had truly amazing experience during the 10 days of our visit, we really enjoyed staying in this hotel.
We were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the rooms (we had two) and how seriously staff takes the anti-covid measures. Every day the rooms were cleaned, towels were packed in separate plastic bags and sheets were changed. Super delicious breakfast served by friendly waiters, always wearing masks and gloves. It was also allowed to use the Spa premises, booking for one hour in advance, completely for free. We booked the spa for everyday and each time before our hour would begin, everything was cleaned and disinfected. The same applied after us. It felt really nice to have the pool and the saunas just for us.
We all truly thankful to the staff of the hotel, namely Dilek, she and the rest were super friendly at all times and ready to help with every minor issue. Also, my mom had her Bday and it was so nice and warm to get a cake with candles at the end of our breakfast.
We rate this hotel with the highest possible score and wish it to prosper! We would love to come back one day. Thanks for the great experience at the Hotel.

Spent two glorious days at this lovely hotel. The accommodations were clean, comfortable and in great order. My friend and I booked the Romance suite which has a generous-sized jacuzzi tub, large, well-appointed bathroom with rain shower shower head and large bath blankets, complimentary slippers, toiletries and bathrobes. The bed and linens were top notch too. The best part of the suite, however was the wrap around terrace. We took our complimentary Nespresso coffee out on the balcony every morning. The hotel is in a great location, on the tramway and is in walking distance from Topkapi, Hagia Sofya, Blue Mosque, Spice Bazaar and more. The breakfast buffet (included in our booking) had a wide variety of delicious Turkish cuisine and Western fare. And Zum Zum (our concierge extraordinaire) helped us with all things trip related. Will definitely stay here again.

This hotel hits all the right notes to make Istanbul feel like home. Location: One minute to tram line, 10 minute walk to main attractions, and a street filled with restaurants and shops with better prices than the bazar. Vibe: Pretty but not pretentious. The staff here are happy (you can feel it) and greet you with sincere smiles. They pay attention to you, observe what you need, and adjust —from cleaning your room earlier in the day to giving you extra water before you sightsee (thank you Meneske!!) It is amazing service. Clean: They take hygiene seriously and even have a good sense of humor about it (see picture of card under the bed). Amenities: Strong, fast wifi; lovely hamman, pool, saunas; business center and reception that will arrange ANYTHING you need and print extra copies of your Covid test. Extras: Welcome drinks and spice cookies; concierge service that comes by at breakfast to help you plan your day and give local tips (thank you Zomre!!!); reception that cares about the quality of your excursions. 24 hour room service from a great restaurant. I’ve never been so well taken care of and I may never go back to hotel chains.

I booked Romance for a long weekend and it’s my first time in Istanbul, which experience was made perfect by my host. On arrival, I was offered a tea and the reception helped me to book a table at Olive’s roof so that I won’t need to walk too far for diner after my tiresome transport. The second day, their lovely client relation came to me at breakfast to give me the information I needed for my plan of the day (and I could even get a public transport card at the reception). The next day I wanted to go shopping, so I also have got very useful advises from the client relation. I must say that I’m used to Club Med that kinda thing, but here, it’s much cheaper, you feel more local, at home, and so well taken care of. The housekeeper (who did the cleaning job so efficiently) even offered me a bookmark seeing a book lying on my desk. How can I not come back?

This has been our third visit to Istanbul and we cannot say enough good things about romance Istanbul hotel and staff and the service staff. The food,location and hotel rooms are great. The rooms are very clean, the bathrooms are spotless which is very important for us, it’s walking distance to all the historical places, zumbre at the guest relations made us feel at home and gave us the best advice as where to visit for fun, eating, entertainment, and visiting historical places.

Where to begin? We check out tomorrow after staying here nearly a week and everything is flawless. Ideal location (all the tourist sites are literally minutes away), an attractive/quiet room (with a large, comfortable bed), a free big breakfast buffet, free spa (!!) - however, our favorite aspect of this hotel is definitely the service. It's felt very warm and personal, especially with Zumre Asal of guest relations, whom we've greatly enjoyed talking to every morning we've been here. There's no question for us of going anywhere else anytime we're in Istanbul.

The hotel is well managed and offered great hospitality. Guest Relations (Zumre) made sure to assist with any day trip planning needs, and Meral kept our room spotless throughout our stay.
The breakfast had a wide range of foods with made to order eggs, omelet, waffles and pancakes. The tea time in the afternoon was a welcome break with snacks and fresh fruit provided.
Location can’t be beat as it is a 2-3 minute walk to the closest tram station, and major attractions like Hagia Sofia are less than a 10 minute walk as well.

The hotel is in a great location within walking distance of many of the key attractions in Istanbul. It is very close to a train stop which makes it that much easier to get to them and locations that are farther away. Despite being on a busy street, the rooms are very quiet at night and we didn’t have any problems sleeping. The rooms are spacious and well maintained and housekeeping does a great job. All the staff are very friendly and helpful, in fact that is what sets the hotel apart.
Zumre with guest relations visited with us upon arrival and every morning at breakfast to help us plan each day, suggest sites based on what we liked, assist with reservations and help us navigate public transportation when on the longer trips. She was outstanding and helped us get the most out of our visit.
Breakfast was also excellent and Dilek took great care of us each morning, making sure we had our coffee and hot dishes before we started our tour each day. We also visited the spa and really enjoyed the experience. Very recommended. Be sure and catch the Olive restaurant next door and make reservations for a better table! Great food!

I don't recall any parking. Contact the hotel directly; they might have an arrangement for parking. Traffic in Istanbul is some of the worst I've seen anywhere. We used taxis and the trams, which we reliable and very reasonably priced.
There are more places to choose from in the Istanbul area.
