really hard to categorize such hotel. We just decided not to check in a chain hotel this time but rather those family hotel. Have to carry suitcases 3 floors but the staff did it. The decor needs a huge haul: wall paper wearing off, curtains fading away and not closing completely, plumbing fittings in bathroom barely operational. The place has...

Good day! Rested this hotels not for the first time! Booked two rooms, one suite room and second family room! The rooms were in stock! After moving to the second room found that the room we were provided is not the same (the room was standard, with a small bed, and the size of the room small) as the room...

The room was just the standard, nothing special about it. What made the stay very comfortable is the staff that works there, from the guy at reception during the day shift and the girl in the night shift. The breakfast is also OK but the lady who prepares everything is very nice and helpful.

Just got back from a 9 night trip to Turkey. 7 nights in Istanbul, divided up 4 at the beginning, 2 nights at Ephesus, then 3 more nights. We stayed at the Romantic all 7 nights, and loved it there. Our time was divided between two different rooms, the Suite, #302, and a regular room, #301. The Suite is definitely,...

We stayed here as a family of 4 and I must stay its truly a beautiful magnificent mini palace! My children were fascinated with the hotel architecture and interior designs. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful. The rooms were extremely clean and tidy and very cosy. The breakfast was basic but nice with a selection of breads, salami's...

We stayed here in July and couldn't have asked for a better location. This is a small boutique hotel right underneath the Blue Mosque. We had a view of the Sea of Marmara from our room window and could sea ships sailing in and out of the Bosphorus. The breakfast room on top also had this view as well as...

Stayed a week in this well presented venue with friendly, helpful staff and great views across the bosphorous. Easy walking to all major tourist sites with a plethora of shops and restaurants on the doorstep. Room was a little on the small side but soon got used to it.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
