We stayed in a room 101 with 4 single beds which was big enough for us and our luggage. Room was cleaned everyday and the linen were changed everyday , shower had hot water...

The hotel is situated strategically at the old city of Istanbul. Only walking distance to some famous tourist spots and to the beach which I love to see. Walking distance to one of the bridge and it was lovely just to pass by this bridge and looking at around you. Restaurants nearby are many. My birthday relaxing holiday is worthwhile....

Rather than stay in the Sultanahmet area by the Blue Mosque, I chose OCV because it's also close to the Golden Horn, Galata Bridge, Bosphorus boats, Spice Market and Topkapi. (Blue Mosque is till only 10-12 minute walk.) I was happy to find the area more "real," sitting on the border between tourist and local. Turn right out the front...

It is a cozy hotel, not very spacious, but with clean rooms, good breakfast and excellent location. Majority of the Istanbul's sights are on a walking distance from Old City Viva Hotel. We stayed there in February, the weather was sunny, mostly, and we really enjoyed walking around this ancient part of Istanbul. The hotel provided transfer from Sabiha Gokcen...

I stayed in Viva Hotel this month for the first time. Overall I cannot say a bad word about it - reception staff were very nice and polite, great choice of breakfast, perfect location. The only and main reason for giving an average score is because of my bad experience with cleanliness of my room. I wasn't sure whether the...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
