Since I was arriving alone two days before my friends, I decided to fly to Izmir and connect to Selcuk right away. I was happy to do so, since Ephesus, Virgin Mary's House, St. John Basilica, etc. are all right there. My stay at Nazar was very pleasant. Ilger, the owner, is a very helpful guy. I was supposed to...

This is a very basic hotel, its clean and the location is good in relation to Ephesus and the Church of St John, the main attractions in Selcuk. The street it is located in is not attractive at all. We paid a high price for basic accommodation and a very rationalized breakfast, consisting of one boiled egg, olives and yogurt...

My family stayed at Hotel Nazar after a recommendation from a friend. Everything my friend said was true. The host Ilker is very friendly and helpful, speaks excellent English, and the hotel is very clean and homey. I emailed Ilker to arrange an airport pickup in Izmir, he helped arrange a day tour to Pammukale, a half day tour at...

A very nice host, who even offers 100 lira shuttle from Izmir airport to the hotel (the taxi takes about 140 lira). Working as a travel agent for over 15 years, the host is very experienced and helpful in providing tourist information around Turkey. Also, it's only 7-8 minutes walk from the train station ( he will inform you that...

We spent a few nights here with our two teenaged daughters. The hotel manager was very helpful with suggestions for restaurants and sights. He even walked me to the pharmacy so I could get some cold medicine for my daughter. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. I would stay here again.

I stayed at the Nazar hotel in November and due to my friends flight being delayed I ended up being a solo female travelling on my own, I could not have been more welcomed or looked after by Ilker the owner and his wife and parents. The warmth, hospitality and welcome were second to none. The rooms are spotless and...

A friend and I spent several days at the Nazar Hotel. The manager spoke excellent English (with an American accent) and was charming and helpful. Breakfast and dinners were of very high quality and it was a delight to sit on the terrace and view the grand fortress of night. The rooms were large and clean. Although there was no...

Very nice hotel within walking distance of the town center, restaurants, the aqueduct, and the basilica. It is also a short taxi drive from Ephesus - ask the staff to call one for you to ensure you pay a reasonable price. The rooms were large and colourful and the washrooms were clean with larger showers. Part of the charm of...
