A very unique place with very beautiful atmosphere, great location and neighborhood. Very recommended, very welcoming, they help us a lot. They told us a lot of stories and help us to build our trip in Bet Lahem and the West Bank.
I stayed at Mary's Guest House for four nights on a recent trip to Bethlehem with my 13 year old son. The hosts anticipated our needs throughout our stay. They cleaned in the room and bathroom first thing each day, provided delicious, local breakfasts for us that we took in the living room each day; and regularly refreshed a snack and beverage station in the room. The towels were brand new and clean and changed out each day. It was wonderful because we didn't have to think about any of these issues--it left us free to enjoy our stay and visit with the hosts. The family was also warm, inviting, and happy to share their experiences and knowledge of Bethlehem. I learned so much from multiple conversations we shared as my son and I came and went. Someone was always around and helped us with directions and cultural insights about the area. The location is close enough to the Church of the Nativity and surrounding attractions to walk in a few minutes (about 5 minute walk to Manger Square), but just far enough away to be quiet and restful when you're there. Since it is in the old city of Bethlehem, it is picturesque with the classic white stone construction that appears throughout the ancient part of town (Bethlehem thousands of years old, with archeological references appearing somewhere in the 2000-1500 B.C. range). Highly recommended to get a close up, yet restful experience of one of the beautiful cities in the Middle East and the birthplace of Jesus.…
This was a brilliant place to stay. It’s perfectly clean, the family are so welcoming, it’s central to get to everything in Bethlehem and Lucy is a super host. The room was well equipped for three people and it has been excellently refurbished. I will come again.
I stayed at Mary’s Guest House for 2 nights and 3 days with my husband and 15-year old son during the Christmas holiday. The host (Lucy) and her family made us feel at home. The place is very clean. The breakfast was super and healthy. The location is near to the Church of Nativity, and the souvenir shops are at a walking distance. We could watch the Christmas parade from our door step. It was one of our best Christmas holiday. I want to repeat that experience. Thank you Lucy !
