We stayed multiple times in Hosh Al Subbar, and we loved every minute! The place is tranquil, unique, safe, and very clean. It's an amazing old building that has been renovated with much taste and is surrounded by calming nature. The owners were very respectful and hospitable. Em Samir was very nice and made sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. There is a mini-market and a nice restaurant close by, and it's a short drive to the amazing old town of Beit Sahour, and the city of Bethlehem. The wifi was fast which allowed me to do some work there, and it was also a great place to just chill.
We stayed at Hosh Al Subbar. It is beautiful and calm. The rooms really take you back in time. Staying here at Hosh Al Subbar was one of the highlights of our trip. The family in charge of the place take a real interest in each guest. They make you feel like part of their family. We even got to take part in the Olive Harvest. Everything is so nice here.
Having never been to Palestine before, we did not know what to expect. What a nice surprise to have found this place! Our hostess, Suad, made us feel right at home. The place is comfortable and quaint and an authentic Palestinian experience. We felt safe and cared for here. It is outside of Bethlehem a short ways so you should have your own car or plan on taking a taxi into town. Great place to relax and sleep and read—very peaceful. If you get a chance to have the breakfast, don’t pass it up! We (my husband and I and our two teen children) loved it here and we would not hesitate to stay here again.
Perfect stay Perfect host Kind and respectful Fair and not extremists To recommend Clean house Good kitchen I recommended them to my US friends from Florida because of the good experiences we made in Hosh all Subbar alias Full of Kaktus
We often love to do more homestay holidays in certain countries to get a real feel for the region and Hosh al Subbar was perfect, a family run bed and breakfast in a valley in a village just on the outskirts of Bethlehem. They hosts were so welcoming and made us feel like part of the family, cooking breakfast for us each morning which we ate on the balcony, it was real genuine Palestinian hospitality. We loved our entire two weeks we had there. It’s a short taxi drive into the heart of Bethlehem, and an easy bus trip into Jerusalem. The hosts were able to organise a wonderful driver for us called Elias who took us on day trips to the Sea of Galilee, Nazareth and Cana and another day to Masada, En Gedi and Jericho. Nothing was too much trouble and we would highly recommend staying there. …
