Nice, causey, friendly hotel, located in the center of west Jerusalem, walking distance to art and history sites. Many thanks to the crew e.gohamad, Rajan and all others who were expecssionally kind and helpful
Great stylish hotel, excellent location and the stuff we’re really nice and helpful Many small treats everywhere, chocolates at check in fruit in the room and a very nice free happy hour downstairs at the lounge Would definitely stay here again when in Jerusalem or try another hotel from the chain
I've stayed in other Atlas Hotels. The Harmony Hotel, also in Jerusalem, is far better. The breakfast choice here is slim. Probably because there's just no room. The room we got (an upgraded one!) was tiny. I'm used to small rooms in Israel but this took the cake. My husband who is 5'10 & weighs 155 lbs could hardly fit into the shower. There was hardly any space to put your own toiletries on a shelf in the bathroom . We had a tiny balcony that was behind a chair we had to move if we wanted to get to it. Good location. Nice front desk staff. Kitchen staff - so so. Wouldn't stay here again.
There was one of the most welcoming and charming hotels I have ever been to. Thanks to the people who work there, they made my stay in the hotel unforgettable and highly comfortable. I felt like being in a friend's house. I want specially thank Adi and Rachel, who were so open and friendly and helpful. They gave great advice and help. The hotel's location is excellent; it is situated on a quiet street but not far from the center. The rooms are clean, and the beds are comfortable; the bed linens and the towels are high quality. The breakfasts were delicious, and there was an extensive choice of food. There also were happy hours in the hotel, and from 5 to 7 PM, you could enjoy wine and snacks, and they even had soup. The reception and outside area are cozy, and they have a coffee machine at the reception (and in the rooms, there are coffee machines). I had no time to see the terrasse, and I hope to visit it next time. Everything was so great that I’m looking forward to returning to the hotel and meeting the people who made my stay excellent. Thanks to Adi and Rachel and the stuff I am planning to stay at this and other Atlas hotels. Thank you so much!…
As other reviewers have noted, this boutique hotel has amazing staff, clean rooms, and a great (healthy) breakfast. What sets the Bezalel apart for me are the rooms with a massive terrace. The rooms are small -- which is typical for Israel/Jerusalem -- about 150sf. But the rooms with a terrace are just spectacular. The outdoor space is probably 3x the size of the indoor space -- 400-450sf. I've stayed in these terrace rooms before -- and just love to have the space to relax/read on. On this trip I stayed in room 401 -- which faces Bezalel street. This particular room's terrace is 'shared' with suite 402 -- there's a large divider of trees/greenery that divides the terrace in half so that each suite has its own dedicated space. I was fortunate in that no one in 402 seemed to use the terrace. But, if they had, you'd definitely be able to hear/see them. In contrast, on a previous trip, I stayed in a room on the 4th floor that faces the back of the building -- that terrace room is dedicated entirely to the one room (ie there is no divider). That terrace also gets more shade during the day. The terrace I had in 401 had direct sun throughout most/all of the day. Clearly, in the middle of the summer, the terrace may be unbearably hot for some. However, in spring/fall I think these terrace rooms are functional/useable all day long. For those that are shomer shabbat, this outdoor space is really useful on Shabbat/Chag. As for other notables -- the bedding and towels at the Bezalel are really high quality. I noticed that the sheets seemed to be of a very high quality/thread count. The staff at the Bezalel are really friendly and go out of their way to be helpful too. I highly recommend the Bezalel!…
