Great spot right inside the Jaffa Gate. Had a cave like room with lots of character .Was a bit cold but had lots of blankets. Good view from the roof. The guys at reception were excellent with all sorts of information.

The facility is very dirty and cold, the bedding and blankets are from 20 years old. This is no heaters in the two rooms we stayed. The staffs are more interest to sell you a share ride to airport than care about the guest. It was my mistake not to review common from this site, believed from other booking site.

This being a hostel, do not consider staying there if you are looking for amenities. However, if you would like to stay inside the Old City walls, be within walking distance to all the keys areas of interest and near basic food eateries, then The Jaffa Gate Hostel may be right for you. I stayed in a private room that...

To get the feel of the old city ,i booked this hostel with my three more friends because of its location and architecture.. The staff is quite friendly. though the front desk get closed at around 8 pm , they made an easy and comfortable arrangement that we can get the keys and reach our room. what i dislike --...

No frills but the hostel is clean and extremely well situated just inside the Jaffa Gate and so next to the Armenian quarter. You can eat in the Jewish quarter or head down towards Damascus Gate for some good and reasonable traditional fare.

Very well localted just at the entrance of the Jaffa Gate, you do not need to go with your lugagge trough the stairs of the old city like in other hostels (it can be very tired), helpfull and very nice staff. It is close also to the downtown. I recommend this place to stay in Jerusalem.

Its location is superb and staff were super friendly It's a budget hostel so there's nothing fancy but comfortable enough to spend a few nights to experience the old city! I spent five nights there and I enjoyed staying there, the hotel owner was so friendly and he taught me a lot Hebrew! I would definitely go back one day...

Jaffa Gate is an interesting place. The twists and turns just to get to your room (if you are on the third floor like I was) make you feel like you are on an adventure. The staff is very accommodating and friendly, though they are gone at night. The kitchen leaves a lot to be desired, and other guests might...

Stayed in a dorm: 2 out of the 4 beds occupied during first night, 3 during second night. The wall materials gives it an ancient look that can provide the necessary cool climate during summer (I think, it was a bit cold in february despite 20-25 C temperatures outside). The disadvantage of the dorms is that the bathroom is not...
