The room was full of black mould and there was water leaking from the ceiling on to the bed. The staff were almost never there and they were completely unapologetic about the state of the room. The sheets on the bed were not clean and they felt greasy. The bathroom was directly behind the reception desk area with a window,...

The people were lovely but this doesn't provide some key amenities. Wifi was only available in the lounge and the reception only opened between 9am and 8pm. No breakfast included. The location is very good however and this would be the main incentive for staying here. The part of the hostel we were staying in smelled a bit strange from...

This is a budget find in an expensive city. I had a single room overlooking the city lights. You will enjoy your stay in the upper floor rooms. Again, it is basic, but the location is right inside the Jaffa Gate. It would be hard to find a better location for the price. Think budget!

This location of this hostel is great, just at the centre of pretty much everything you need. The staff were very helpful and friendly, I felt at home. The facilities are very good for a hostel and there is nothing to complain. Definitely worth the money. The rooftops is where I spent most of my time catching the breeze and...

The hostel situated just next to entrance of Al-Aqsa mosque. So you can easily go around old city . We came very late to hostel-1 a.m or so and hostel owner showed us room and everything. The next day gave us map of the city. Definitely value for money.

Firstly, The hostel itself it was very clean, the private room we stayed at was clean, tidy, beds were comfortable and toilet shower was all of good standard. Secondly, Location id say very good for the old city (depending how fast of a walker you are id say 10mins brisk walk) and excellent new city as well as getting hold...

Very clean hostel, very nice rooftop terrace with a good atmosphere, A few minutes walk to new city, all staff members were lovely. Not a single thing to complain about, my second stay here was wonderful and I didn't find myself lacking for anything. Run like a hotel but still had a great vibe. Thank you!

Your usual basic hostel but at least the rooms were secure. A good location near the Jaffa Gate so it's easy to get right into the heart of the Old City or leave and head down into the new town. I had booked online and when it came to laying the difference the receptionist tried to: A) Charge me the...

We spent two nights at the Jaffa Gate Hostel. The price was fair (compared to everything else) and the location stellar. The service was great, and as frequent travelers will agree, that often makes all the difference. We were looking for basic accommodations on a budget and not a resort experience. We had a room with a city view, which...

5 times in Jerusalem. And all the time I stop here. Simply, purely, conveniently. Perhaps a little cool during cold seasons, but you are supplied with additional blankets. Not for noisy rest and the cheerful companies.
