They serve delicious and authentic Italian food that even Italians enjoy. And of course Palestinian dishes. They serve alcohol and make good coffee. A place worth visiting. The restaurant is definitely not cozy but the staff is nice and friendly.

Wonderful old Jerusalem hotel. Needs some TLC, but lots of atmosphere and history, very comfortable mattresses, superb (Palestinian) breakfast, great staff and - perhaps most importantly - home to the Azzahra Restaurant, which has the best pizza in town. A favourite!

This old-world hotel is located within walking distance to the Old Town of Jerusalem. The Palestinian atmosphere at the hotel and its restaurant was warm and courteous. The arab food was 'different' and very tasty.

This restaurant is in an unpromising turning off Al Zahra Street in East Jerusalem but is a great place to eat. The menu includes a good variety of pizzas alongside delicious Palestinian dishes and also a few pasta favourites. The staff are all very helpful. At times the restaurant gets very busy so service times slow down, but the food...

This hotel in East Jerusalem is located within (short) walking distance of the Old City as well as amenities such as pharmacy, groceries, book shop, newstands, and bus/taxi stations. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. The lovely restaurant serves good pizza as well as traditional Palestinian food for lunch and dinner. Alcoholic drinks are available, not a problem. Breakfast...

I spent 10 days in the Azzahra hotel on a work trip. The hotel staff were so warm and lovely, that it felt like home for 10 days and not at all like a hotel. Every staff member is helpful, kind and accommodating. The hotel is conveniently located close to the old city and a main shopping street. The food...

My husband and I wanted to stay in a Palestinian hotel in East Jerusalem, and we found a jewel in Azzahra. The staff was friendly, the room was good, "not flashy" -- as one reviewer put it, but good. And the price was very reasonable. We particularly enjoyed eating in the outdoor restaurant. We ate there two out of the...

I used this hotel as a base for a work trip which involved travelling to Haifa, Ramallah, Bethlehem and other places. It is in a great location, lovely and quiet. The staff are all really helpful and friendly and we ate in the restaurant most evenings which does delicious Palestinian food and great pizzas. The taybeh beer is great too.

We spent a few nights at the Azzahra hotel on a family trip to visit Jerusalem. The hotel is tucked away in a little alley of a,busy street - an oasis of calmness in a more chaotic area. The hotel is tastefully decorated with art and decor from a different time. An excellent restaurant with delicious pizza , Palestinian specialities...

I stayed at Azzahra for 5 weeks over Nov-Dec 2014 and naturally such an extended stay entailed mixed experiences. My impression is that Azzahra is known more for its restaurant then the accommodation. The good experiences include friendly helpful staff, a small but cozy room, functional heating, nice decor and historical ambience which fits well with the location and of...
