I stayed with my daughter for the weekend. We had a colony view room which had the most gorgeous sunset view. The room is large and lovely. The Friday night dinner was incredible and the Shabbat morning breakfast also delicious and a truly huge array of food. I had requested outdoor seating which wasn't possible due to the weather so they accommodated us with a table in a fairly secluded part of the dining room and the Maitre D' was very helpful with this. We found every single person who worked there to be friendly and accommodating. The location is excellent. So much to do in Emek which is right there, and a short walk to the old city. The cost for checking out after Shabbat was 350 shekels, which was better than paying for another full day in the hotel but that is the one aspect which I think should be changed as I have not had to pay that in other Jerusalem hotels. I will definitely return with my family, it's an awesome hotel in a really great location.

The hotel is very nice, the room was well equipped and quality comfortable. The service level of the front desk and the rest of the crew was very good. Breakfast was excellent, lunch so so. Find better alternative nearby. In general great experience!

We had the most amazing time celebrating my daughters bat mitzvah in a two magical days in Jerusalem and in this lovely hotel. We reserved two rooms and felt absolutely taken care of and spoiled. From checking in to checking out the service was spotless. Every encounter with a staff person was pleasant and made us feel important and welcomed. They didn’t miss any opportunity to celebrate with us our special occasion and notice the smallest details. The hotel is gorgeous, we ate dinner at the meat restaurant that was an experience to remember ( thank you Nadim, you are the one and only), the breakfast is very unique, even for israel, I have yet to see such a beautiful spread. Our stay was perfection! Thank you so much Aya, hani, Nadim, Shelly and Hadar. You guys are rock stars! We can’t wait to return on our next visit to israel and try the spa. We didn’t get a chance this time:).

On a rainy night in Jerusalem 3 of us gathered for drinks and dinner at the Rooftop Bar at the Orient Hotel. None of us had been there but had heard great things so decided toi try it out. After navigating through security and reception we took the elevator to the 10th floor. and found the astounding view of Jerusalem and the rooftop pool but no bar! Turning to the left and tucked away on the side is a glass enclosed oasis that allowed us to revel in the view while experiencing the cozy ambience of a bar/lounge/ restaurant. Nadeem got us seated and Eden brought us delicious house cocktails. We dawdled over drinks and then ordered a platter of 4 bruschettas, each different with salmon. eggpant dip, thinly sliced beef, and a spicy salsa which we shared.. Nadeem arranged the portable heaters for our comfort and when a cozy table was free we moved there for dinner. The restaurant is specializes in meat dishes and provide a tantalizing range of choices. My companions chose the minute steak and lambchops while I got the roasted breast fo goose.. Delicious and well presented we drank a rich Merdoc and soaked in the atmosphere. Surrounded by the twinkling lights of the city,,the comfortable ambience of the setting, and cosseted by the servers we really enjoyed the evening..The bartender Amit also connocted some tasty drinks. Highly recommended for a special night out or just a rendezvous with friends!

It is a nice property, location too. The room in Heritage building is very tiny and when you enter that building there s a smell of some heavy cleaning products. The bathroom is very strange as you have a window in your shower? The walls and the bathroom doors were all in some strange stains. Tried changing the room but with no luck. I guess they didnt care to even check or find a solution. Just to mention we were a group of 200 ppl, hotel doesnt know how to deal with such a large group and make an individual care and not treat “us” as non important customers. When calling a FD or room service you get an answer like “ we ll see what we can do”. Then u need to call several times in order for something to happen. During dinner we tried ordering tea, cofee and they declined saying that is against “hotel policy”. Even addressed the issue to the manager and he said also if u want to drink tea or coffee go somewhere else. Didnt experience such an attitude ever in my life! During breakfast Shelly came by as she remembered some of us from summer stay and even she was surprised by hotel policy not to accommodate a simple request for tea, cofee… Anyway would stay only in Waldorff Astoria when in Jerusalem, and would recommend to anyone that understands “true five star experience” to do the same
