Location is very good but the hotel is not great. Our room felt like a bunker as it had no real windows. Also bathroom has no extractor so after a shower all is wet. Kitchen utensils are too basic or insufficient. It was not unclean but not impressively clean. Also there is no cleaning during your stay unless you pay. The staff was not too polite either. Overall stay was not too bad but value for money was sub optimal.

we (2 adults + 2 boys) stayed for 2 nights, we had 2 bedrooms apartment. the apartment was well organized with full equipped kitchen for having small meals and cable TV for the kids. the staff were hospitable and nice. the location is good, about 10-15 minutes walk from the market, but the car parking in this area was a bit of a problem. very recommended for family on on a budget

A good location, apartment hotel with lift. It would have been an ideal 6 day stay but our padlocked suitcase (no room safe) was broken in to when the cleaner serviced the room, and a sizeable sum of money stolen. Staff did not care. Very casual despite initially being friendly. Staff also do not answer emails. It has left us with a sad memory of Jerusalem.

2 bedroom with balcony (Apt 8) was plenty of room for our family. Kitchen with local grocery store kept costs lower. Self-service laundry about 1 1/2 blocks away on same street. Ben Yehuda is a pedestrian area filled with shops and restaurants. St. George major bus stop nearby. Hotel staff very helpful. Street honking bothered my daughter but that's what you get for being central. We really enjoyed our stay.

I booked an apartment for 7 through Expedia. You take a look at the pictures advertised and go into the website of the chain Jonathan Hotels and the facilities look nice for a mid-range hotel. I have to say that I travel a lot and I have seen many hotels. I payed almost 1000 usd for a 4 night to accommodate 4 adults and 3 children, payed for an extra bed. It was almost the same price that you will pay in a hotel room or a Cosa Nova, but took Jonathan because of the kitchen an the idea of having an apartment usually is more conformable for a family. The reality is that the hotel is old, poorly maintained, the extra bed of the mattress was so weak and thin than not even the 3 years old was able to sleep there. The kitchen was so small and with really any utensils for cooking. It look dirty and there was only a table with 2 chairs. We were not able to have any breakfast nor dinner any of the nights. The furniture was very old, there is no cleaning service. You can see that the hotel is not focus on customers only in getting money with the minimum investment. The pictures in Expedia are misleading, old and they mix pictures of the hotel the have next block. There is no such a reception lobby nor a restaurant inside the apart hotels. I told the staff about my disappointment and need of having something bigger, because they advertise the apartment to accommodate 7 people! The lady was kind of rude and told me that that was the bigger apartment in the building and that it was my fault for not having called after the booking to ensure it was big enough. The utensils were never provided, the extra bed never changed, I asked for cleaning because many, apart hotels include this, but here is not the case. The last day before paying, I ask for a reimbursement of part of the money payed and my surprised was that not even before the checkout, they have already took the payment from my card details given at Expedia. I insisted in having a discount and no solution was given. By chat, the man at the reception told me that the hotel will reimburse a 20%, after 15 days, no reimbursement has been done and the reception simply does not respond my messages. The location is not bad. For a couple it may work, but I will choose a hotel or a Casa Nova, I am sure that the stay will be nicer, cleaner and closer to Jerusalem old city. I will not pick again this chains of hotels because I got the same experience in another hotel they have in Tel Aviv...

We reserved this solutions via booking and i have to say i never regretted. Its true that the guy who admitted us wasnt the best in kindness and let us waiting for minutes b4 comin. But the room was clean and good for a 2 night stay. Not the best because was really cold. But let pass on it. Very near to mahane yehuda, maybe of you are focused on old city only better you look elsewhere.

We travelled as 2 friend and stayed there for one night. The staff put a second bed in there for free in case we wouldn't sleep in one double bed, very friendly. The room and the bathroom were very clean. Nakil in the receptiion was also very kind and aranged us a cheap transport to the airport. He even offered us some original arab coffee for free. Location is also great. Can only recommand this place! Thank you guys! ;)

We stayed with friends in a group of four in a two-bedroom apartment. Bedrooms themselves were OK, but the shared spaces (bathroom and kitchenette) were tiny and nowhere to sit all four of us. Overall, a good stay but wouldn't recommend if you're planning to socialise or cook together in the apartment. Absolutely fine if you are planning to be out and about for most of your stay.

Pros: location (right in the heart of the city), spacious and a lift. Cons: wifi was very intermittent (even hotspotting was difficult when in the room), shower head was not fixed to the wall which meant you have to hold it when you shower
