The Jerusalem Abraham Hostel was a very fun and enriching experience. The service was great - we were perfectly fine with our room, but I also noticed the hostel being very accommodating for those who wanted to change their room because of noise. The room was basic and clean, with a locker for your valuables. If you wanted to rent...

We took a triple room to stay for five nights in Jerusalem. The room was spacious enough, the showers were great, there was heating (winter time, we got some cruelly cold nights) only the mattresses could be firmer - everybody felt they were sliding towards the wall or out of the bed. The bar and common area have a great...

First of all, I’m a 58-year-old father traveling with my college age daughter. I hadn’t stayed in a hostel since my Europe backpacking days in the 70’s, but we stayed here because my daughter like staying in hostels when she travels. I have to tell you it was more fun than I expected. The room was small but very workable....

Stayed here for 5 days with my niece. We had the 2-bed room with 2 twin beds and private bathroom. Pretty much basic and this is what we wanted,a clean comfy bed, private BR, hot showers n towels. Dining area is clean, friendly atmosphere. Breakfast served is the best! Free welcome drinks awesome. Pizz with olives for 25 shekels 👍🏽👍🏽....

We have been staying here as a group during December 2016. The hostel (double) rooms were clean and spacious. The common guest areas (bar, lounge, dining room) too were spacious and provided good atmosphere for relaxation and mingling with other guests. The hostel staff was very friendly and the tourist desk professional. Breakfast was sufficient and the Shabbat dinner good...

Nice rooms, nice bar, nice rooftop bar, nice activities offer, nice staff, nice breakfast, nice kitchen... everything is clean and tidy. The location is not bat, very close to the market and very close to the Jaffa Street; with the light train you can go anywhere.

Had some concerns about it being a party location for young people but found it to be a place that attracts all ages and types including families. Very safe and secure and if it is your first time travelling in Israel, it is a good starter location to help find your feet. It has reasonably priced dorms as well as...

I have been at the Abraham Hostel both in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv and I highly recommend them! Clean, great shared spaces, great facilities and the best vibes. The staff is super professional and friendly, they'll make your trip easier :-) They offer tours all around the country/region. I booked Petra with them and it was amazingly well organized and...

Alright so let's make one thing clear first: THIS IS NOT A HOTEL. You need to judge it for what it is, a hostel. And as such, it's just brilliant. The rooms are clean and well maintained and attention is given to small details that make the stay even better, such as a small storage shelf by each bed in...

Bed in the doubles is very comfortable, everything is well organised, cosy bar and lounge to meet people and have a drink, helpfull staff and possibility to do organised trips, breakfast was tasty (the dishes you have to wash yourself ;-), only downside: a bit expensive, but so is everything in Israel...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Abraham is known as the father of monotheism and was the first backpacker in the Middle East. He journeyed throughout the lands accepting hospitality from those whose homes he came to, and extending hospitality to anyone who passed near his tent. We wish to extend Abraham's Biblical hospitality to our time. We, the staff & owners of Abraham Hostels, created our dream hostel in Jerusalem to support travelers in the Middle East. The Abraham Hostel is located in Jerusalem's city center catering for independent travelers and small groups. Our location allows for easy walking access to all major sites such as the Old City or Mahane Yehuda Market. There are plenty of public transportation options right outside to various Jerusalem sites, as well as to the international airport and other cities in Israel and the West Bank. The hostel offers daily activities and tours in our ongoing effort to encourage travelers to make new friends and new experiences. Whether it's our hostel bar, traveler's information center or chill-out rooftop, we try to provide everything an independent traveler needs when travelling in the area. For those traveling outside Jerusalem there is a special discount when staying in Abraham Hostel Tel Aviv and the Fauzi Azar Inn in Nazreth, as well as special shuttle service between all three branches. ... more   less
