My stay at the abraham was awesome, I have no complaints at all. Everything is arranged properly, if there is a problem most of the time it is fixed on the day itself. The staff provides good service and the tours are awesome!

This is a fantastic hostel, I can see why it is rated number 8 in the whole world. Great Vibe. Large bar /eating area and a second chill place on the roof. Many fantastic tours to book. Location is just a few blocks from the old city. People who stay there like to make friends. You could seriously spend part...

Abraham hostel is not just a hostel but a meeting point and event place. Every evening there are some concerts or parties. The prices are quite cheap in comparison to the other places in Israel. Atmosphere is really good, you may get to know to the people from all over the world here. I enjoyed swinging on a hammock and...

Great community-buidling events every night; wonderful common room and kitchen; excellent location. It's very easy to meet new people, chat, and make friends. However, the rooms aren't quite as clean as I would have preferred.

Clean room, great facilities, very helpful staff. Free tea and coffee all day and free breakfast. Rooms had AC which was great as it was very hot. They organised tours and shabbat dinners etc which were excellent.

We recently stayed in abraham hostel, we had both the AA room and a C class room. Both were great! The staff were lovely, helpful and available. We stayed with a 9 month old baby, so if you're worried about it not being family friendly, don't! The diversity of guests is enormous, but it was so friendly. The breakfast is...

I needn't spend lots of time gloating about this hostel. The previous hundreds of reviews do it pure justice. Abrahams Hostel is a lovely, large-scale hostel that attracts individuals of all ages across the world. It is nothing fancy certainly, but it offers plenty of nice, simple amenities. I stayed in the 10-bed coed dorm and wasn't disappointed. My roommates...

I was taking a trip with Abraham Tours and the tour left from the hostel at 7am - so it made sense to sleep over. The rooms was good as hostel rooms go - bare walls but spotlessly clean. Linen and towels okay. Comfortable bed. The vibe was wonderful - a hive of activity. The breakfast was excellent although I...

This hostel has it all. It has great staff, clean rooms, clean towels and sheets, rooftop view, awesome common rooms and fabulous tours. There is a daily happy hour and you get a free beer on your first night. They are always organizing hostal events and also post events in Jerusalem. It is walking distance from main areas and has...

Maybe it's because of all the stellar reviews here on TA, but I had pretty high expectations on this place, and was rather disappointed. Yes, the common spaces are nice, the breakfast is good, but the rooms? My dorm room was below street level, really noisy, not very clean, with squeaky bunk beds... Bathrooms and showers could also definitely have...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Abraham is known as the father of monotheism and was the first backpacker in the Middle East. He journeyed throughout the lands accepting hospitality from those whose homes he came to, and extending hospitality to anyone who passed near his tent. We wish to extend Abraham's Biblical hospitality to our time. We, the staff & owners of Abraham Hostels, created our dream hostel in Jerusalem to support travelers in the Middle East. The Abraham Hostel is located in Jerusalem's city center catering for independent travelers and small groups. Our location allows for easy walking access to all major sites such as the Old City or Mahane Yehuda Market. There are plenty of public transportation options right outside to various Jerusalem sites, as well as to the international airport and other cities in Israel and the West Bank. The hostel offers daily activities and tours in our ongoing effort to encourage travelers to make new friends and new experiences. Whether it's our hostel bar, traveler's information center or chill-out rooftop, we try to provide everything an independent traveler needs when travelling in the area. For those traveling outside Jerusalem there is a special discount when staying in Abraham Hostel Tel Aviv and the Fauzi Azar Inn in Nazreth, as well as special shuttle service between all three branches. ... more   less
