Excellent hostel. Room was comfortable and clean. Good location. The free breakfast was the highlight - good range of yummy food. There is also a TV room with millions of films, we watched batman. The hostel also offers loads of good trips, we took one to the dead sea which was brill. Only downside were the staff who weren't that...

I came to Jerusalem, Israel for two weeks to study at an Ulpan (intensive Hebrew language academy). The Ulpan I studied with recommended Abraham's Hostel as a place to stay. Having never been in Israel, I took their word for it. I'm glad I did! The hostel is clean and has many amenities for a simple place. The staff were...

My second time in Abraham Hostel was even better than the first time. I was blessed to meet with many many interesting and in some cases awesome people, looking for some kind of spiritual experience in the city of God. Young and old people all together in this place, families and singles... I really enjoyed the communal breakfasts, rooftop barbecues,...

The staff is very helpful and competent which just adds to the overall quality of this hostel. The 4 bed dorms are comfortable, well accommodated, clean and practical. Bathroom inside the room, toilet are separate. Breakfast is good and the atmosphere at night at the bar is very friendly and lively.

Clean and nice single/double rooms. Very lively, with a lounge and rooftop bar. Next to the HaDavidka tram stop, quite convenient! I'd recommend it to anybody looking for an affordable accommodation in Jerusalem. Abraham, the first backpacker!

This hostel is amazing for several reasons: 1) rooms are comfortable, clean and quiet; 2) the common room is a perfect place to chill, have a beer and meet people, but you can also cook, have dinner and read without being disturbed; 3) rooftop with bar is perfect for the afternoons; 4) staff is amazing, they are super organized and...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Abraham is known as the father of monotheism and was the first backpacker in the Middle East. He journeyed throughout the lands accepting hospitality from those whose homes he came to, and extending hospitality to anyone who passed near his tent. We wish to extend Abraham's Biblical hospitality to our time. We, the staff & owners of Abraham Hostels, created our dream hostel in Jerusalem to support travelers in the Middle East. The Abraham Hostel is located in Jerusalem's city center catering for independent travelers and small groups. Our location allows for easy walking access to all major sites such as the Old City or Mahane Yehuda Market. There are plenty of public transportation options right outside to various Jerusalem sites, as well as to the international airport and other cities in Israel and the West Bank. The hostel offers daily activities and tours in our ongoing effort to encourage travelers to make new friends and new experiences. Whether it's our hostel bar, traveler's information center or chill-out rooftop, we try to provide everything an independent traveler needs when travelling in the area. For those traveling outside Jerusalem there is a special discount when staying in Abraham Hostel Tel Aviv and the Fauzi Azar Inn in Nazreth, as well as special shuttle service between all three branches. ... more   less
