Excellent location; clean, large, comfortable rooms with kitchenette including microwave fridge, dishes and silverware; wonderful shower; helpful personnel. Good price to value ratio! Great falafel place next door, too!
Generally a nice and clean place, but I’m a light sleeper, and the traffic noise was unfortunately too much for me to sleep comfortably in. However, I was travelling in the company of other, less light sleepers, and they had no issues sleeping in the room right next to mine. The hotel entrance was guarded by the smoking receptionist; perhaps they should work a bit on the first impression they give their guests.
I stay in City Center hotel in Jerusalem on each of my visits in Israel. The hotel is perfectly located, the rooms are spacious, very clean and comfortable. It has a small kitchen with everything you possibly need. Once you step out, you are close to everything in town- Western wall, Mahane Yehuda market, Ben Yehuda "Midrahov" where you can find tons of restaurants and shops. Very close by is the light rail, busses and more. I can't recommend it enough. The price is also very reasonable.
We were initially booked at another apartment hotel - Shamai Suites. However the manager himself told us to shift as there was a problem of water leaking from the ACs. City Centre is exceedingly well managed and I look forward to staying there again.
The hotel is in a great location but is very basic and not the cleanest hotel we have stayed in. It has no facilities, bar etc although there are plenty of bars and cafes close by. The standard of decor is dated and there was Mols in the bathroom and the kitchen sink leaked very badly. Israeli star ratings are significantly lower than found in UK and Europe
If you were looking for a cheap hotel and a good location then this is fine. Especially if you’re young. However, I’m in my 50s and didn’t really appreciate some of what I encountered during our 2 week stay here: NEGATIVES: - During our 2 week stay The room had not been cleaned for 5 or 6 of those days. - Bedding wasn’t changed once during our entire two week stay ( I could tell because I got a little mascara on the sheet the 2nd day and it was still there when we checked out) . - Mold ( which means toxic mold spores) were in multiple places . - On day 4 my good quality shower cap went missing and in its place appeared 4 disposable shower caps. I realize it’s only a shower cap, but no need to take my belongings. - it’s an extremely small hotel and there’s frequently no one at the front desk. They should make it easier to contact someone immediately if they don’t want to man the front desk. - The lobby and hallways on all floors reek of a disgusting artificial fragrance. Can you please tone that down?? POSITIVES: - location - staff was helpful…
We stayed here one night- a last minute extension of trip in Jerusalem. What a great location. Very helpful reception, kept our luggae safely before early check in and after check out. Helped us with booking taxi and recommendation on places to visit during Shabbath. Rooms are great- we got upgrade without asking which was delightful too. Clean place, exceptional location!
All good, well planned, great guide, Yhair. Took care of everything and was very helpful and informative. AIT did everything well and I recommend them highly. Bus travel was comfortable and the driver was experienced in the loca oooke
We were pleased with this booking. A well equipped room with a microwave as a good addition to all the usuals. The location is perfect and about 20 minutes walk to the old town. Housekeeping was a bit variable which is the only reason for not giving 5*. The front desk were helpful. Although we faced onto the street it was quiet. Note no breakfast cafe or restaurant on site: but no matter, you are in the town centre.
We needed an overnight in Jerusalem. During this trying time of concern over the COVID-19 virus we wanted a place we could shelter that was clean and small. The City Center Hotel was a perfect place for what we needed. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. They were offering a deeply discounted room but the room was clean and comfortable. For all the times we have been in and to Israel, we never stayed in a hotel before. We are glad to have had a good experience.
