The Jerusalem Golden Walls Hotel is located in the center of the Holy City of Jerusalem; just outside the northern city walls, between Damascus and Herod's Gates. Our hotel is within walking distance from the most religious, historic and cultural centers. The Golden Walls Hotel is a family-owned business managed by the Pilgrims Palace Hotels Ltd. It was built in 1964 and run by the late Dr. Rasheed Nashashibi till 1983. It was then known as the Pilgrims Palace Hotel. The Hotel has undergone major renovations throughout the last 10 years. It was expanded twice. A new building was added to the existing to make the total number of rooms 120. However, authenticity and quality services are our core values.

Check-in was delayed. No explanation provided. Toilet constantly running. Toilet seat not fixed and broken. Attempts at fixing included removal of the button to engage the flush which was not re-connected until I called. Again broken. Told “we cannot do anything about it.” Management not focused on quality. Asked us to change rooms without any offer of help or concession. Fridge is cool, but does not keep items cold. Not very helpful to have a fridge at all. Light bulb in room burned out. Breakfast buffet included with our room rate, but with a single coffee maker and a full hotel, lines were at least a 20 minute wait time in the morning. People bumping into one another. Seating crowded. Cost of room is nearly that of a 5-star hotel at a 3-star (at best) facility. The one good point of this hotel is the proximity to holy sites. We stayed here in April 2023. for 1 week. This is an excellent modern hotel located very close to the Old City in between Herod's Gate and Damascus Gate. The walk to the Western Wall, Church of Holy Sepulchre and Al Aqsa mosque takes about 10-12 minutes. The buffet breakfast provides a wide variety of items and the rooms and public areas are very clean. They have double and triple rooms and for us managed to place a mattress in a triple room to make it a quad. The reception is on the first floor and has a large seating area as well as a non alcoholic bar. On the 3rd floor is a rooftop terrace with a glass enclosed dining area. Altogether an excellent and pleasant stay.

Don’t go there if: 1. You would like to have a quiet night. Both outside and inside is very noisy, with people playing on the corridor; 2. If you rent a car – getting there is very difficult and parking there not easy; 3. If you expect advice – it took me two months and several tries to have them answer my question (the answer was that they will do nothing); 4. If you would like to have dinner – restaurant is closed and there is no other option available in walking distance. And neighborhood is not friendly or safe. For this price you can have many better options in the city, so my sincere advice – avoid this place

We stayed here twice on a coach tour - once at the start and once at the end. Rooms overlooking the busy road are noisy but OK with earplugs. The second room was on the first floor adjacent to the stairs overlooking the back, meaning there was noise from groups in the bar area but no road noise. However, people did not say up late. The room size was good for a city hotel. The location is excellent. Buffet-style food was acceptable although, like the other hotels we stayed in, hot dishes were not very hot.

The ideal hotel for a visit to the old city of Jerusalem. You can walk to all the major sites in less than twenty minutes. Staff are attentive and the new chef produces excellent meals. Rooms are renovated to a high standard and you can relax on the rooftop terrace overlooking the ancient walls. A home from home and a rare gem of a hotel

Our 4 nights stay was fantastic. The hotel is a few meters away from the old city wall and Damascus gate. Room was modern clean and very comfortable. The breakfast is 5* one of the best from my travel experience. Staff were excellent & helpful they go the extra mile to make you feel welcomed. The views from the hotel at night are amazing. The hotel is family run who make sure that customers are well looked after and comfortable. Highly recommend and definitely will come back. Golden walls you deserve 5* and big thank you.

Stayed for five nights at The Golden Walls Hotel as part of a pilgrimage to The Holy Land. A beautiful hotel, literally across the road from the city walls. Perfectly clean throughout, the staff exceptionally friendly and the rooms light, bright and airy. Breakfast and evening dinner at the hotel was buffet style, good quality, and plentiful. Well recommended.

The seven days we spent in this hotel were absolutely wonderful. We managed to secure connecting rooms so we were within close proximity to our young children. Each room was clean, tastefully furnished, comfortable and we were lucky to have a spectacular view of the walls of the old city. The variety at meal times was great and allowed us to sample some of the local cuisine. The staff were always attentive and helpful. The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring the key sites of Jerusalem. Would definitely recommend and would definitely return!

We have just arrived home from a ten day holiday in Jerusalem where we stayed at the Golden Walls Hotel; we couldn't have wished for a better place to stay. The staff were helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel had a relaxing atmosphere and the decor was warm, modern but with artefacts from history. The roof terrace is a lovely addition, with views of the City walls. The breakfast and evening meal, buffet style, were delicious and plentiful with a great variety. The desserts in both the restaurant and the bar were very good too, something I really looked forward to at the end of a day's exploration. We are looking forward to our next visit. Judith
