My wife and I checked in on Friday 3rd for 2 nights having booked a deluxe room with balcony facing the old city. The check in was managed in a friendly manner and the clerk of his own accord told me that he had upgraded the room. The room was tired the tv 5 - 6 generations out of date and the door to the bathroom only opens to 90* and there is no door to the toilet which adjoins the shower. The lock to the door of the room was not working. As a welcome gesture 3 apples were delivered to the room. At dinner ( $130 per person ) the carvery ran out of 1 of the 2 meat choices that were on offer and the buffet counter was unsupervised to the extent that half eaten food was placed back on the platter. At that point I called for the restaurant manager who credited the cost of our dinners and we left. Breakfast selection was also limited and the chef has no idea on how to make eggs Benedict which were served overdone and swimming in water. At check out I left a message for the GM to call me but have reservations about that happening. Definitely a hotel to be avoided at all cost.

This is a wonderful hotel with attentive staff. Rooms are great and very clean. We haven’t been here since before Covid and some of the staff remembered us and made us feel very welcome. I want to give a special thank you to Said in the dining room. He is professional, pleasant and incredibly attentive. Highly recommend this hotel
