Detailed Reviews
The Hotel Cassia ( former King Solomon) in Jerusalem is located on King David Street, on the other side of the famous majestic King David Hotel. It's a high-rise building, with good views all around, and the amenities of any good city center hotel. In the lobby, there is a beautiful metal sphere depicting the world with Jerusalem at its navel describing Jerusalem being "at the navel of the world". Breakfasts and dinners are buffet style, sumptuous with a large variety. Service is courteous and efficient. Due to its proximity to the famed Mamilla Mall and the city center, it's an ideal location for tourists and organized groups. We were part of a group of senior citizens who were pretty happy with the rooms and everything that the hotel had to offer. Recommended

The upgrades made to the old King Solomon Hotel make a big difference. Highly recommended for the budget conscious family, for sure. The staff went out of their way to help us with our needs- whether it be check-in or meals, everyone was a pleasure to deal with

The rooms are very comfortable and in good taste.
Very modern but also homely feeling very "jerusalem".
Short walking distance to historic jerusalem and old city.
Food is esquisite and service is amazing I have to recognize mr Halil Attala who went all the way to explain the dishes and made us very happy

I stayed in the accessible room at the Cassia.
Despite asking for a toilet raiser when booking it was not in the bathroom when I arrived. It was provided after I asked for it.
The bathroom is small and whilst I could navigate within it the position of the toilet may be tricky for some wheelchair users. Ask for photos before booking.
The sink was very high and whilst I was able to use it on my mobility scooter wheelchair users may struggle.
The bed was low which was tricky for me but may not be for others.
I could not get out to the terrace as there was too much furniture in the way and the door was too heavy for me to open.
The hotel is has some good step free public areas but:
1. Sections of the outside area by the pool have no step free access
2. Sections of the lobby have no step free access
3. The lift buttons are positioned high up the wall so may be hard to reach for those in wheelchairs
Overall the access is OK but would not be good enough for a wheelchair user travelling alone.

Dear Cripplegirl, Thank you for your feedback. After double-checking your reservation, we found no record of the mentioned request; however, we promptly arranged accommodations upon your arrival. We share your disappointment where expectations weren't met. It's worth noting that our hotel is 100% adapted to accessibility based on required regulations. Nevertheless your insights for enhancements are invaluable to us, as they guide us in improving our services for future guests. We're pleased your overall stay was positive and thank you for choosing us. Warm regards, Cassia Jerusalem team

+1
Chose this hotel based on location and the outdoor pool . Wasn’t made aware that the pool was under construction. Besides that, the rooms were renovated and clean with a great view of the old city. The staff was very typical of Israel, very uninterested. Only standout was Ali in the breakfast room who made an effort to be hospitable. Location was amazing, but I wouldn’t return until the pool gets reopened.

We stayed in 5 hotels during our trip..don't ask..we traveled up and down the country. The room we got was by far the best of all hotels..the bathroom was also the most comfortable. The lobby was bright with lots of places to relax. The breakfast display was really nice although the cheese selection was better at other hotels. The elevators were amazing compared to other hotels. Lovely relaxing location with beautiful views from the dining room. We also liked the shabbos meals.

I had a deep tissue massage session with basem zalloum and it was amazing. He was very professional, attentive, and skilled. He applied the right amount of pressure and focused on the areas that needed more attention. I felt a lot of relief and relaxation after the session. I highly recommend him to anyone who wants a quality massage.

Outstanding hotel. Very helpful and friendly hotel staff. The food was superb and you can't beat the location (walking distance to old city Jerusalem). It's also right across the street from a park. The rooms are clean and well maintained.

We have just spent a weekend at this hotel. We had stayed in other local hotels before but this was the first time here. It was a great location, large spacious rooms- we had a beautiful view of the old City too.
Friendly staff as well
Would recommend as an alternative to Dan Panorama etc
