The Palatin Hotel is small with an interesting history, a great location and friendly helpful staff. If you want all the mod cons of a chain hotel this will not be for you, but if you want something with character in a great location, this is worth considering. A couple f minutes from a Jaffa Central (light rail) or a...

We stayed here only for 1 night, but would like to recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a budget hotel. Their listed prices are high, but you can get better rates fom online booking sites. Room (ours was number 20, on the second floor) was quite simple and looked old and tired. There was some black hair on our...

My experience at Palatin was great. The gentleman at the receptionist desk 'Shlomo' was very kind and accommodating to many questions that I had including: places to eat, places to visit, buses and public transportation that I could take to get to where I wanted, etc. They will also help you by booking tours and reservations. They also booked my...

It is an old hotel and these days a little faded and basic. BUT! It was clean, cosy and warm in the Jerusalem winter. Built in 1936 when King Edward VIII was temporarily on the throne. Just a few metres away is the famous street that proudly bears the the name of his father, George V.

In the tourist area, 10 to 15 minutes walk to Old Jerusalem. Coffizz coffee shops around - fixed price coffee and drinks, Moshiko take away just a few minutes away - Sharma and Falafels - went there every evening! Marzipan baker just up the road, as well as the big market.

I have spent 3 nights there with my grilfriend, very good location, very good breakfast, nice and helpful stuff. Hotel is in center so sometimes you can hear noises from street, during night as well. We were during winter the rooms were warm :)

I had an overnight weekend stay at the Palatin and now understand the large range of views in Tripadvisor ratings of the hotel. The good can basically be summarized in two points - the location and the staff. The location is brilliant - right in the thick of the action of downtown J'lem. However, and I was not affected by...

Great locstion. Nice breakfast buffet. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Getashi was very helpful in the evening. Shlomo went far beyond being helpful and very friendly.. The surrounding area is loud but that's to be ezpected at a downtiown location. The only issue would be there is no elevator. Luckily we were on the second floor. I mention this because...

I'm very surprised by the 4 star reviews here... the room we stayed in was absolutely unclean and dirty, with no sheets on the blankets and mold type stains on the walls and floors. I am a young traveler and am usually fine with whatever room, as long as there's a clean bed and pillow. I've stayed in plenty of...
