I had priority on location because I was travelling with my parents and 7yr old son. It was right inside Jaffa gate. Besides, staffs were helpful and breakfast was good.

We stayed here as a group, we were on a walking trip throughout Egypt, Jordan and Israel. We all enjoyed our stay. This place is just amazing we thought so anyway. I mean the history of this place must be amazing in itself. It is very secure, not that at any time did we feel anything other than safe In...

Inside the Jaffa Gate in Old City Jerusalem, well marked and easy to locate plus secure. The BEST part is that they have a spaceous parking lot provided free for guests. Being Old Town a compact car is about all you can get in with the roads and all, but once there the lot can fit a lot of cars,...

I stayed here for 2 nights as a single person in a twin room. There is no doubt that the location is excellent however I would certainly not return to Christchurch Guest house.I did not expect luxury, but I did want to feel comfortable. The room was cold, the bedding shabby ( there was an old Elastoplast stuck to my...

We stayed here our first two nights in Jerusalem in one of their nicer rooms and enjoyed it very much. It's a beautiful location with an outdoor courtyard. Breakfast is good. The staff was fine, not super friendly, but got the job done. We enjoyed the Shabbat dinner on Friday night, which they host weekly. We are glad we chose...

If you like big global hotel chains, this is not for you. The rooms are basic but functional, and yes the showers are small. We had a family room which was much better than the double rooms. But somehow this doesn't matter as the ambience is wonderful, the location perfect, great breakfasts, pleasant staff although some lack local knowledge. We...

Jerusalem is a unique, fascinating, troubling place for the first-time visitor. Having only a few days in which to experience so much, we wanted to be in the Old City. Christchurch guesthouse is in an absolutely ideal spot, both for walks into the city and trips outside the walls. It is calm, orderly and friendly and, being staffed by volunteers,...

Incredible location, beautiful building, how could we go wrong? We rented the suite at quite a high price, and it is very big with a tiny little bathroom and the tiniest shower I could imagine where water goes everywhere and the shower curtain sticks. Basic, limited towels, the room un prepared and cold with a worn bedspread and broken down...

I have stayed here ten times now, mostly as a group leader. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Jerusalem. The accommodations and the dining are not the fanciest. But the quiet setting of the central courtyard makes up for that. Here, one can relax over tea and pastry, with the Old City just feet away. There is a nice...

I stayed here with my family in August 2013. We spent a week here and hcose this hotel because of its location within the Old City, which meant that almost everything we wanted to see was within walking distance. Otherwise, there are buses and a very good tram service. The breakfasts are fantastic, you can also have lunch there but...
