The location is good but that’s it. It’s very very noisy , night after night I was woken up several times. The place needs major maintenance .bathroom not inviting to say the least. I was looking forwards to go back home

What i like the most of this hotel is the location, its near to everywhere, and walking distance to the old city. Room was clean. Price is ok compare to other hotels in the old city of Jerusalem. I would highly recommend this hotel if you're traveling on a budget.....

You have to make mistakes! Here’s one big mistake. Jerusalem is expensive so it may worth coming for one day instead of 2 nights in an hôtel who’s an hostel. All the bad reviews are correct ( see photos below) I don’t think the stairs are the main problem ( see photos below) I left a night before and they didn’t want to refund me. Bad customers service. DONT GO!

Average room with a balcony....be prepared for no elevator, so lots of steps..fantastic staff who go the extra mile...McDonalds right next door...very noisy area because hotel is by a plaza...the room we had lights from across the street glared into the room at night..would suggest to the owner to get blackout curtains...so close to everything..we walked to the old city of Jerusalem, but there is a rail service a couple of minutes from the hotel...all things in consideration, we would probably stay again...

Room Tip: if you are older get a bottom floor and if possible a room away from the plaza area.

The prices in Jerusalem are crazy high. For that money I would normally expect better room but the reality of the city is that you would need to spend far more. The staff was nice and helpful. We could leave our luggage in locker and go sightseeing.

- hotel is very well located and thats about the only good thing i can think of. - honestly its one of the worst hotel i have been staying at in recent years. I understand accomodation can be expensive in Jerusalem but some basics should be seen everywhere: hygiene. - the room was supposed to be a studio.. its in fact a very small room with an area where you can cook and a small fridge. - the utensils and equipments need to be changed and maintained better. They are basically not cleaned or useble. -the bedromm side ..well it looks like it has not been cleaned in ages.. and the renovation done ( paint and all seem to have been done over dirt) - the beds are comfortable ( we had twin beds ) but bear in mind they are very small (80cm width) - we stayed 7 nights and bedsheets have not been changed once. -towels were very old and we had to ask constantly for them to be changed. - cleaning of the room or bathroom not done once either. - the bathroom is very small and also hasnt been cleaned while we were there and i doubt before we got there. - (i had to clean it myself with the product they leave for us in the room) - the shower is in terrible condition and there is virtually no water pressure ! - there is a heater that is very rusty - the balcony is unuseable as it is very dirty - the hotel is VERY noisy. - bars noise till after 1am and constructions noise from 5.30am - the staff and the " reception".. one of the gentleman was quite decent whilst the other one was rude and so unwelcoming

Michael and Anton , and one more lady at the reception were the best. They made sure everything went well with our 2 day stay in this hotel in downtown jerusalem. Thank you, folks! The hotel doesn't have a lift but Michael and Anton were always always ready to assist me with my baby stroller, of my baby or my 4 year old son. The room was big enough for me and my kids, old but clean. Thd aircon worked well too which was nice coz it was hooooot in jerusalem. I cooked, boiled water just like at home. The location was superb. Around the bend there's an Asian convenience store selling well of course Asian stuff and more but cheaper price compared to the others nearby too. Say mineral water to them is 4 shekels, the others 10! We will return definitely.

This is a relatively cheap hotel and is close to the Old City, yet in a safe place. It is quiet and quite comfortable. The instructions via internet are good and prepares you for "self checking i," although you have a receptionist there, if you arrive within working hours. I do not believe they have someone there over night. It is way better than booking in the Old City a motel.

Response from Alon11111, Owner at Alon Hotel
Responded 20 Jul 2017
Very sorry for your disappointment. We have rooms on the first floor and rooms on the second floor. This information is very clear on our site. We try to please all off our guests, and we do get a lot of positive feedback. In your case apparently we failed. I sure am sorry we did not get your complaint when you were there, so we could try to please you. Thanks, hope to see you again.
