I loved staying at this hostel. You can tell there was a lot of love put into it over the years. It is located right next to the flea market and the old city, which is super convenient to walk everywhere. The hostel is in a beautiful old build, decorated with lots of antiques from the flea market. We slept... More

Unfortunately I can not give this place a 0, but I would if I could. If you want to sleep, have a nice shower or a good breakfast, don't come here!! Sure the location is good and the terrace is nice, the stuff is kind. But it's impossible to sleep, you can hear everything happening on the street, you can... More

We have came here numerous times since 2009, because this place is legendary and hilarious. This hostel is old, worn out, even broken, just add some paint and it will be fine. Rooms are all different and they are on many levels of the building, some bathrooms are smallest I've ever seen. Some have balcony, some barely a window. Some... More

Hostel that is in the heart of the Old City Markets. Quirky and fun decor. Very clean shower and restroom facilities that are shared. Negative is the noise of restaurants and bars at street level that are open all night. No AC so the windows must stay open in the summer. Bring earplugs if you plan to sleep. Lovely refreshing... The hostel is old and is situated in Jaffa. Now let's be serious: The staff is friendly, the terrace is nice, the location is great, the breakfast offers more choices than usual. Some people stay there forever - it can't be that bad. Downsides: The showers suck pretty hard at times. The hostel has seen better times - every single... More

I stayed here for 2 nights in early March. I am trying to not be too hard on the place since it is, after all, a hostel, but I had a pretty poor experience overall. First, the pros: the hostel is located in the middle of Jaffa, which is a really cute neighborhood and is walkable to the rest of... More

I came to the hostel to book a room, the woman at the desk was at the phone and after 10 min waiting, i walked inside hostel to have a look. She finally talk to me, gave me the price of the dorm bed, i ask if I could just see the room, she said no, that is their policy,... More

I've stayed several times at the Old Jaffa Hostel and had a great experience. This time was a disappointment. Inexperienced staff who can't answer questions, a painter and guest smoking inside (I'm allergic to cigarette smoke and am a cancer survivor), room assignment not what was promised or booked, lack of attention to detail. Nevertheless it is clean and pleasant,... More

I was very pleasantly surprised with the Old Jaffa Hostel. Hostels are generally known for providing the basics, but I found that the service went above and beyond what I had expected. Towels are provided, the complimentary breakfast was of high quality and very tasty and there is free tea (with or without mint) and coffee 24/7. The hostel itself... More

“Make sure to book ahead if with a group, as the rooms book up quickly. Also, check transport options ahead of time to the hostel. From the central bus station of Tel Aviv (reachable easily by train from the airport), you can take bus 41 or 83 to Jerusalem Blvd. and it's just a 5-minute walk from there (just around the corner from the clocktower).”
