Absolutely great location, comfortable beds and wonderful staff. the hostel is located right on top of the pepo restaurant which offers great israeli food and some of the best coffee ive ever tasted. the small restaurant has some great vibes to it and offers a bar for drinks at night. at the top of the hostel there is a large sitting area that sits on the rooftop - great for meeting new poeple! plenty of shared spaces where i met some new friends. clean showers clean rooms. altogether a fantastic experience!

Pepo hostel is relatively new and therefor very modern looking. The beds are comfi, lockers in the room, great shower and very clean. Breakfast contains of coffee and Burekas from the shop right below the hostel and is really tasty. Hostel is located just about a five minute walk from the beach and the Shuk Carmel is right next to it. Also the Rothschild blvd is within walking distance. Personally, what i loved best about Pepo hostel is the rooftop terrace, to get some sun or grab a beer with beach view. Really great price/quality ratio.

I stayed here for 5 nights in September, 2018. The hostel is very close to the beach, but it is quite tricky to find even using GPS, or Google Map directions on the hostel website, especially after dark. The hostel is also a few minutes walk from a hotel where you check in, as the hotel manages the hostel. Actually if you are a couple, or 3 people, inquire about the cost of a room in the hotel if you want privacy, not company. Good: Location, clean hostel, friendly staff and travellers when I visited from all over the world, lots of hot showers and clean bathrooms(!) for a very small hostel, good air conditioning, indoor and outdoor kitchen area, great rooftop common area with good views of Tel Aviv, markets and restaurants nearby. Not good: All 3 dorms are co-ed (mixed) if that is a concern to you. The young European women who shared my dorm room felt very safe, as there is a series of locks in the building, and everyone was friendly and would chill out together oftentimes just visiting and eating. Smoking is allowed on the outdoor kitchen area, which should only be allowed on the rooftop patio! Overall, I would go back here anytime.

It´s a fair hostel, and though the rooms and bathrooms are small, it´s worth staying at. I don´t agree with the other reviews, since all was quite clean, the guys from the hostel were really kind and helpful, breakfast was great and the location is pretty good, and prices are good, too. The balcony is beautiful and a great place to chill an have breakfast, too. Only weak spot is that it´s really small, but that´s hardly a big issue. It's a hostel!! I recommend it!

I stayed there for 6 nights in total So i have many things to say about this place... but let's focus on the hard parts, o.k? --- You shouldn't go there if you're planning your stay in Tel Aviv, because there are too many hypocrites all over the place... wrong vibes, bad feelings, the rooms are way too small and introverted... most of the people there, don't like to share anything with you... but are just complaining all the time to the staff about almost everything against other guests that are staying in the hostel. the manager - Yaar Ben Noon, is a very very hypocrite little fellow and likes to argue with his guests all the time. shouting at his workers... And the most ruff part for me was that people are smoking there weed all the time and the smoke is very hard to smell which is also very disturbing. and the manager don't really care about that what so ever... and there is one hipster guy there that actually live there! and he leaves his trash like everywhere, his dirty dishes - everywhere you may find his hair cuts and nail cuts in the sink and on the floor like all the time, his things and his smoking tools are everywhere (i have a lot of photos and recordings to proof everything i've just described here) --- So remember this: If you gonna spend some time in this awful place just keep in mind that it's going to be a really unpleasent experience for you...
