We had a great stay here. First and foremost the location is perfect! You just go down two floors, and you’re on the promenade and the beautiful beach! Our room was new and very nice and cleanly designed. The beds were very comfortable - serious plus! :) The food was very good with a large variety, and the staff was professional and kind. We had a great time!
The location on Gordon Beach is convenient, the breakfast was excellent, and the front desk personnel were pleasant, but that’s about the best I can say. For several days prior to arrival, I tried to reach the hotel directly via email and phone to inform them that we would be arriving a day later due to cancellation of our original flight. No one responded to multiple emails, nor did anyone call me back. We could not change the arrival date on line without incurring additional charges of about $600 USD for the seven night stay. As a result, to make sure we weren’t considered a no-show, we had to cancel our original reservation and book a completely new one in a lower category because that is all that was available. Upon arrival we were given an IHG Platinum Ambassador Elite “upgrade” to a room with a view of another high rise hotel in disrepair and a sliver of beach. The room (and the entire hotel) is in shabby condition and appears not to have been renovated since the 1980s. The shower had mold and mildew in it. The closet door would not stay closed. The mini-bar was empty. The hotel lobby bar was completely out of vodka the first night. Two days before departure, we went to the front desk to arrange car service to the airport and were directed to the concierge to reserve a taxi because the hotel does not offer private car service. The concierge, who was hardly ever at the desk, assured us he would book the taxi in advance within the next five minutes for our early morning departure two days later. We tipped him generously, and he graciously accepted. The next day we decided to re-confirm and were told by another concierge that there was no record of arrangements for a taxi for us. I could go on and on, but you get the idea. And COVID is not an acceptable excuse - Tel Aviv is vibrant and bustling with activity. We are not that difficult to please, but it is hard to recommend this hotel. Sadly, it was a poor value for the money at about $3,000 for a seven night stay and is not worthy of the IGH brand, given its present condition and level of service.…
We had a wonderful stay here. It was the last two days of our visit to Israel and a great place to end our vacation. We had friendly service when we checked in. As a Platinum member we were upgraded to a beautiful and renovated accommodation with a lovely view facing the Mediterranean. This facility has a pool (that area under renovation however still able to use). The breakfast buffet cannot be beat, looked forward to it during our stay.Of course you are on the beach, so wonderful location. On our last day we needed a later checkout and they accommodated us. Compliments to Ido J and his team for wonderful service. We will be back here when we return to Israel.
What a disappointment of a IHG property. From check in to check out this hotel disappointed. Upon arrival I was greeted by an old worn out lobby that was warm and moist, checked in for my reserved "deluxe king room with sea view " and was sent to a room on the 5th floor which can only be described as disgusting, with a partial view of the street, a partial view of the boardwalk, a sliver of ocean and a great view of the dome of the swimming pool. My "king" bed was two twins pushed together. I tried to call downstairs to reception but the phone did not work, so I went down to talk to the manager on duty and explained what I had reserved and paid for, he said there was nothing he could do since the hotel was sold out, when I told him that I expected a refund for the room I paid for he said he could not help. Since it was 1 am I was forced to stay there. The next morning I went to make a coffee in room and when putting water in the coffee machine I noticed it was all moldy and green so I passed on that, the minbar was underneath and leaking water (perhaps from melting ice). Around 5pm I went to the pool which is on level -1 and went through a maze to get to the pool which was dark, had loose screws, nails and wire in the pathway due to construction, finally got to the pool which had no towels, no water for the guests, only a locked cooler with no attendant, I was able to enjoy the pool area for 45 minutes until the lifeguard makes you leave at 6 which is a shame since it's light and warm until 8pm in the summer months. I could say the breakfast was good, but the guests run around like they never had a meal before and the staff is useless, I am still waiting for my milk to put in my coffee. Overall a mediocre 2 star hotel that clearly does not take pride in the property and certainly does not try to cater to its guests. The funny thing is I was expecting a differant experience since from the time of booking I was getting whatsapp messages to ensure that my stay would be a memorable one. Shame on you IHG and crown plaza tel aviv beach.…
The location is fantastic. You're right on the beach with a great view of the Mediterranean Sea. You can walk down the promenade and pass several beaches on your way there even head north to the old port if you're okay with walking for a while. During my stay, the hotel was a highlight of the trip. The staff was extremely friendly, professional, and pleasant. The hotel is popular as there were lines to check in and check out. Now for some of the slight cons: the hotel is a bit older and could use a makeover, however, that could be said for most of the hotels in that area as well as certain parts of the promenade. The dinner buffet was okay, neither good nor great. The hotel gave you only water and if you wanted a beverage you had to pay for it. The breakfast buffet was a bit better but packed. So you had to wait a while to get your coffee. However, the views of the beach from the dining area offset that issue.…
We stayed in the hotel for a 3-day bussiness trip i Tel Aviv. Room was of a good quality with nice see-view. Breakfast was great (variety, quality etc.) Hotel in close to see and equipped with a swimming pool. Can recommend it.
Hotel is on the beach, with direct access. The lobby is a little old but the rooms were comforted , well furnished and very clean. The service was excellent! From the check in, to the lobby staff and the maintenance everyone was friendly and very helpful.
The best things about the hotel are the partial view of Tel Aviv Beach with direct beach access - breakfast buffet, Friday night dinner - room was not clean and needed to be redone - but I was offered an upgrade and we were given good attention thereafter - ( hence the extra star) - I would consider staying again due to the position - definately good enough for a quick trip - note that the bar/ restaurant service needs to be improved and team could be more engaging ! Still thanks for a decent stay and the upgrade and extra efforts on our behalf were appreciated !!
The hotel have the best location of Tel Aviv, the room was fine, the service was perfect, the people of front desk help us a lot with all our doubts about the country and how things works on Israel. I want to say that Pedro the concierge was WOW he help us a lot, excellent service, he recommend us a tour to Masada and Dead Sea (the best). He was always asking if everything was fine and if we need something. We really want to say that he is a excellent cast member of the hotel. Totally recommend this hotel, and definitely i will choose again to stay here. My friends and I love to have friends around the world, so if Pedro and the cast from front desk what to keep on touch with us here’s is my IG archierdz Thanks for all.
The location of the hotel is in the heart of the Tel Aviv beach city. However this is like a three star hotel. The staff is unavailable. They charge you for ice. They don’t change the beds every day. They don’t answer the phone when you call. For the money it is definitely not worth it. They clean the rooms minimal. If you could afford it I would suggest to go to the Carlton.
