Glorious location - directions on the website get you there more easily than I expected. For 40 JD it's a vast room, comfortable king size bed and functional plumbing. Assiduously helpful staff, cleanliness as good as you get in Jordan (let's face it, when the...More
My girlfriend and I stayed there in March for 1 night. We first went the Hadrian Gate Hotel in Jerash but that was the same price (about 40JD for a double room) and also way to expensive 'cold' atmosphere.

We first stopped at the Hadrian Gate Hotel literally opposite the ruins. The rooms (they have only 4) had just been redone and were really quite expensive considering there was no ambience, nothing close to do etc. So instead of parting with $150 for 2...More

It is not very convenient walking to the ruins from the hotel. Even though it stands in a very beautiful quiet location with breath taking scenery, it is quite far from everything. It takes 10-15 minutes by (cheap) taxi to the ruins. It could take around 1 hour jogging/ walking if you fancy a hike. However, the road is full of hills. It would be a nice run in the morning going down the hill, but would not recommend coming up - also depending on the weather
