It`s a fair deal, but they do have a kind of tired operation going (it`s some years since they upgraded the hotel) and their location is simply said boring (next to nothing is a tempting saying..), what save them from a low score is super service; the staff are without exception friendly, warm and stretches long to make you feel...

We accidentally first went to another Tulip hotel near by (of the same chain but much newer and more luxurious) and then when we finally went to the right hotel, we were very disappointed. Worn out carpets in the reception gave off a bad first impression. But worse, the check in at 1 am was extremely slow. We were so...

Nothing beats the warmth of hospitality in this place, I was with my wife and two kids in a senior suit. The service from the valet to the reception to the room service and the restaurant is just great. The hotel was busy though, but the service and the team were so attentive. I need to mention Chef Charbel, and...

I have eaten in the restaurant each day. Breakfast and dinner. The breakfast is less than inspiring, but typical of mid range hotels in Beirut. Processed meats, cheeses, and fruit. A basket of breads, and scrambled eggs with foul gets a little redundant. I did see someone else with cooked breakfast, I never have seen a menu or been offered...

We stayed here since the hotel we booked for our 2-month stay was fully booked the first week of our stay. This is not a 4 start hotel. It's a full 2-3 star hotel. I'm not sure how much they charge, since my company booked it for me, but I assume they charge for a 4 start because of its...

Pictures is deceiving. The whole room smells, dirty toilet, dusty bed, the carpet stinks, wifi wasn't working for a whole day, rusty water tap and shower, breakfast was awful, curtains is stapled to the wall so you can't even open it. Prepared coffee with the unclean kettle in the room but no spoon to stir it. Barely saw any staff...

I stayed in the Golden Tulip Hotel de Ville when attending a conference in Beirut. The organisers had booked me a single room and I requested an upgrade to a double as my family (husband + two small children) was coming with me. I was paying the difference. We were put directly opposite a large room where rehearsals for a...

Its hard to know where to start when describing how bad this hotel is. It all starts at check-in, where the front desk attendant will not give you the key to your room until you pay for the entire stay's bill in advance. Then you get to your room which is small, musty, and all shades of brown. The bed...

So I never intended to be in a hotel in Beirut. I have a really close friend here and I was planning to stay with him but he didn't realize I was allergic to cats and I didn't realize he had one so the Golden Tulip turned out to be the closest place I could repair to and now here...
