Guests have called out InterContinental Doha The City, an IHG Hotel, for its vibrant atmosphere and comfortable ambiance, though the live music may sometimes be too loud. The establishment generally maintains high cleanliness standards but could benefit from more meticulous cleaning in some areas. It is acclaimed for providing excellent value, with affordable luxury and reasonable dining costs.
Professional service is another highlight, with staff often going the extra mile. Its central location is ideal for various activities, while the spacious rooms with stunning views are popular, despite minor cleanliness and maintenance issues. The hotel's amenities, including diverse dining options and a luxurious pool with city vistas, also earn rave reviews.

Hotel's Favourite
I wanted to generally say that I’ve enjoyed my time at your hotel and your staff are what makes it why.
The following people are what made my stay extra wow:
Front desk: Selinne, Rewa, Jasvinder, Angela, Erica, Milan, Chamila, Riad, Ali and Rahif.
2nd Floor (where the main restaurant is as well as Asian Kitchen and The Bar): Vihan, Oriel, Sharyar, Chef Divia, Sukadah, Mary Joe, Adrian, Ay, Ny, Sharon, Apple and Imran
Club lounge: Purity, Moya, Aya, Wendy, Lovely, Chef Abdullah
Housekeeping: Jyoti to name a few in particular the staff that took care of the 16th floor
Security and concierage: All of them including …..Suriya, Laxmi
Gym: Dome, Doram and Dileepa.
Some of the examples that made my stay extra special that I didn’t forget:
-When the team especially Suriya and Selinne made the extra effort when I accidently dropped my headphone down the lift. A shout out as well to the technicians who helped retrieve it.
-The club room staff which I spent most of my time at the hotel and in the mornings (which has happened in other hotels) but the level of service to remember my breakfast the first day is pretty impressive (as it is specific). Same goes for the happy hour.
-It was a nice surprise to see Dileepa at your hotel because when I was still in London and I spent time in Abu Dhabi I was staying at the old Crowne Plaza and I met him there five years ago as I spent a bit of time there. The whole staff at the gym and pool are great as I spent a lot of time there.
-My conversations at the 2nd floor especially Asian Kitchen and the Bar, especially with Imran, Jyoti, Sheraryar, Vihan and Apple. Vihan made me feel welcome my first night and I really enjoyed my conversation with you, as well as Sheraryar and Imran and Apple; Jyoti’s dish from Kerala was amazing and I look forward to eating again hopefully soon!
While my stay wasn’t 100 per cent perfect and there were some areas for improvement (which I do acknowledge the hotel did fix which I appreciated), overall I enjoyed myself and the staff are what made it great. It made up for the hospitality of your staff and the great memories I shared with them.
Many thanks. Will definitely come back whenever I'm next in Doha.

Only stayed two nights as a break from travelling from Bangkok to Manchester. Thought it was not going to be good as the taxi driver from the airport got lost and had to flag another cab down for directions. When we eventually arrived at the hotel we were greeted by JaJa on reception and were impressed by her warm welcome. This impression was reinforced when she told us that, as our allocated room was not ready she would upgrade us to a superior room, 4306, at no extra cost. She then explained that we could pay an additional amount to gain access to the club lounge and, foolishly, we said that we would have just the first nights access to the lounge. Big mistake- we should have had access for both days- the price was, as we later found out, terrific value for money.
We were shown to our room and the view was fantastic. Although I have an aversion to heights, I could stand in the window and take full advantage of the views. There was a king size, very comfortable bed with a great pillow menu available. The bathroom was spacious and the shower was powerful with (eventually) lots of hot water,
As we had been travelling for over 12 hours, we decided to have afternoon tea at the club lounge. The receptionist at the lounge, cannot remember her name, sorry, was superb explaining how we could get around the city and how we could use the metro and where to visit. The tea was excellent and in the evening we returned for snacks and drinks.
When we were due to leave the hotel we booked a car to the airport with the concierge who was extremely efficient and the charge for the car was only slightly more than the taxi fare we had paid from the airport- and the driver did not get lost.
Our room was spotless on arrival.
The breakfast at the hotel was excellent with a good range of food available.
Only downside, and nothing to do with the hotel, was the noise from the adjacent building site where lorries were tipping loads at 3am.
I will definitely return to this hotel; I have previously stayed at the Intercontinental Beach hotel in Doha, but the city hotel is, in my opinion, better situated.

Ambiance, over all setup, its a fantastic experience, room is luxury spacious and staff are very co-operating. Everything is in place. Prompt in time providing food and other things. Room is spic and span, and the menu and food are really delicious specially indian menu and bakery items are the best. Food served at right temperatures, hot food hot and cold food cold.
I really want to appreciate the entire hotel team for their best services. Especially F&B staff Mr. Shanshank Khandelwol & Mr.Sai kumar are very polite and helping nature. they guided me throughout the stay. staff attire and grooming standards are really appreciated.
I suggest for the travelers, don't ask and look for the hotel, just demand INTERCONTINENTAL DOHA THE CITY. You can feel the real amazing experience.

We stayed for three nights in a twin room as a stop off before returning to Sydney. Usually when you stay at an Intercontinental you’re expecting luxury. Unfortunately we were very disappointed on many levels.
The main reason we chose this hotel was for the swimming pool. Whilst it looks amazing it was freezing cold despite us being told it was heated to 28 degrees. It definitely wasn’t and the hotel used the excuse that it was the weather making it feel cold. Again not true as it was a nice 22 degrees.
Upon checking in they tried to get me to take a bigger room for a significant extra cost. It was already 1am and with two small jet lagged children in tow the 20 min check in process was not appreciated. If the hotel didn’t have a suitable room as per my original booking they shouldn’t be trying to get me to pay for an upgrade.
The room itself was just so bland and boring. I really couldn’t see what was 5* about it. The most annoying thing was the complete lack of privacy in the bathroom. The toilet door was see through and only partially covered with frosted glass that you could still see through. There was no lock and you could hear everything in there.
The TV was louder in the bathroom than in the bedroom.
For a supposed 5* hotel the staff were not particularly friendly or helpful.
The breakfast was ok with all the usual choices but it was again pretty average quality and not 5*.
Even our view was lacking and was mostly of the construction site next door.
All in all disappointing for our first trip to Doha.

The checkin process was smooth and fast. Even arrived at 10:30 pm, dinner was served hot and fresh. The room was unbelievably big and comfortable. I got to stay in 3811 and view from the window was breathtaking.
Enough supply of consumables I.e. coffee, milk, water l etc...power outlet had some issue, but got fixed immediately..similarly changed food options 2 - 3 times and well taken care off. It was amazing experience overall.food quantity in breakfast, lunch and dinner was more than enough and variety..I just hope that along with Asian vegetarian, if indian vegetarian menu is also there, it would have been top of the world.

I want to thank Biraj from House Keeping for the great service, hard work and paying attention to details, always answer to all my requests and try to provide the best service. When I coming back to my room after a long day at work, to find it perfectly clean and neat just the way I want it, and these beautiful figures he made from bathroom towels, it’s draw a smile on my face and made me feel little like home away from home. Thank you Biraj.
And,I want to thank Keeran from Laundary, always answer to my requests, takes care of my laundry and delivering it on time, great service.
Whoever reading this review, you are lucky if you got these guys to be your house keeping.
