We stayed at the Shaza Doha on a Quatar Airlines stopover package recently and were pleasantly surprised at the value for money experienced. The hotel was excellent in all aspects and staff were always willing to help with our needs. The location was superb, being in close proximity to the famous Souk Waqif and other tourist attractions. Staff at the reception desk were friendly - our thanks go to Aasinki who guided us on getting around in the most cost effective way and recommended restaurants that offered our favourite cuisine. Thanks to her, we got to experience places that we may otherwise have missed. Grateful also to Muhammad who arranged an overnight desert safari and kept in touch to ensure everything went well on the trip. Will definitely stay here again when in Doha.

We stayed 7 nights in this hotel. The hotel is well located in the old centre near Souq Waqif. It has an impressive interior design and is very comfortable. The staff is courteous and helpful. The room rate is reasonable but the extra charge for breakfast (€ 32 pp) is excessive in relation to what is offered. There is a pool on the rooftop. However, in the afternoon the pool is no longer in the sun.

We spent one stopover night at the hotel. Upon arrival the hotel did not make a particularly good impression. It might be hard to keep the all glass outside of the building look clean, but it is indeed dusty. The reception on the first floor is somewhat awkward. We were impressed by the room size and quality. But unfortunately we found out too late after returning back from our dinner at the Souq that the AC did not work as expected. The fan runs only at full speed making an incredible noise. The temperature setting does not work properly. Set to 25 degrees it would switch off the AC completely, letting the room temperature raise until 27 degrees without switching on. Decreasing the temperature by one degree on the other hand turns the AC to full power without any option to lower the fan speed and noise level. At the end I kept waking up multiple times during the night switching the AC on for some time and then off again to be able to continue to sleep. This made our stay at this hotel quite uncomfortable. I am an engineer and this is clearly a result of insufficient and unprofessional maintenance. Please do not choose this hotel if expect a quiet environment for your sleep. Logically we did not even try to complain to the receptionist because we would not have wanted some maintenance staff in the room at night or to switch the room. It is their responsibility and fault to have this room assigned to guests without proper maintenance. I will also ask Explore Qatar to remove this hotel from their 5-star list.

We stayed at the Shaza Doha for 5 nights to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. The hotel is beautifully decorated, clean and in an excellent location, close to Souq Waqif, Museums, The Old Port and Corniche.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Special mention to Chaima on reception, who helped to get an issue resolved at check in and also sent us a complimentary cake to celebrate our anniversary which was a lovely touch. Muhammad who was very friendly and always happy to help. The ground floor security staff were also fabulous and parked our car every day.
On checkout the hotel kept our luggage as our flight was late in the evening and on return to collect they allowed us to use the changing rooms to freshen up and change before heading back home.
We would recommend this hotel and stay here again in the future. Thank you for a brilliant stay.

The reception employees were helpful. The security lady , and the valet employees are very friendly. The rooms were clean, and the overall status of our stay was pleasant. Unfortunately, the restauraunt in the roof, served ua terrible food, that took around 40-50 minutes even including soup. The restauraunt employees were really hospitable and friendly.

This hotel is really great at the price it was offered. Swimming pool at the roof was only for me, lucky :) Reception and it's surroundings look gorgeous. In the room was one of the best beds I have ever slept in. Bathroom has a shower and bad as well, toilet separated with all possible washing devices for any nation in the world. Simply great đź‘Ť

We stayed 2 nights at the beginning of our trip and 1 night at the end, as part of our Qatar Stopover by Qatar Airways (Qsuites are the best). The price was great, only $40/night.
The hotel is new, luxurious, and very clean. We rarely saw other guests.
Our rooms were luxurious with lacquer furniture, adequately spacious, comfortable, very clean, and had large, marble tile bathrooms. I asked for and got high floors, and we could see a little of the gulf between other high-rises.
The man, and later woman, at the second floor check-in were nice, as were the lobby staff.
During our 2nd stay, we received a 50% off coupon for the restaurant. It was empty, with only 1 other diner, but the food was delicious. We enjoyed the chicken machboos, lamb machboos, lamb saloona, and for desert, the umm ali. But, the kunafa couldn’t compare to the one at Al Aker Sweets.
The location is great, just a few blocks walk to the Souq Waqif, the Corniche, and the MIA.

I am a guest in shaza doha hotel , but the room service was so (bad) at all.
My notice:- 1- around 8:40 am , I pressed on make up room button and I left for a meeting till 11:30 and no one came to clean it up.
2-around 11:40 , I requested some one to solve my wifi and to bring my lundry (from yesterday I gave them) and the network engineer just came at 2:54 pm , and still the lundry didn’t come yet! And they promised me yesterday that they will bring at at 12 pm ,(thoub and ghitra iron only).
Lastly, I am so regretful because I booked here for 2 night till tomorrow , and I was about to extend till friday since my family will come to qatar to stay with me!.

I think yes, they didn’t ask about it to us . I used the shorts too. You can swim in the swimming also with bikini. It’s an international hotel. I didn’t have any restriction.
